FORD MUSTANG - The Story of the Car That Appeared in Over 50 Movies - Mustang Shelby GT500 - GT350

The Ford Mustang is a sports car produced by the Ford Motor Company. The car was presented to the public on April 17, 1964 during the New York World's Fair. The Mustang, despite having undergone major changes over the years, is Ford's oldest line of cars, whose name is inspired by the only wild horse breed in the country. It was a great sales success, later followed by competing models clearly inspired by it.
The first Mustang prototype was manufactured in 1962 and this model is currently part of the collection of The Henry Ford Museum.
A 1967 Shelby GT500 version called the Eleanor was used in the movie Sixty Seconds and a 1968 Mustang was used in the movie Bullitt.
Ford has just introduced the seventh generation Mustang. The sports car that created the lineage of pony cars is renewed with an eye on the celebrations of its sixty years in two thousand and twenty-four. Without wanting to revolutionize the design, as it did with the Mustang Two, in the nineteen seventies, or the “Fox Body” of the nineteen eighties, the new generation is an evolution from the two thousand and four concept, that rescued the lines of the original model. More precisely the fastback body, presented in September 1964. Long hood, short tail, steep roof cadence, and two-and-two configuration are tenets Mustang has lived up to over the years. Visually it looks a lot like the current generation, but with more modern details. But the muscle car style was kept with the raised central tunnel, short gear lever. Note the parking brake. Instead of a button, as is standard on modern cars, the Mustang retains the manual lever. And it wasn't to make the car cheaper, believe me. The manual brake is there to assist in drag races and for those who like to put the car sideways in drift tests.
To mark the launch Ford presented the Dark Horse version. With an exclusive look, the version has new bumpers and a new spoiler, which made the car angrier.
Under the hood, the version uses V8 Coyote, which received forged pistons and connecting rods, used in the Shelby GT500.
The Mustang has a large legion of fans around the world. With about sixty years old, this magnificent car continues to be successful and arouse passions.
