Yggdrasil is the Tree of Life in Northern Mythology, also most of the Words you (most likely don't understand) are Furnitures you can buy in IKEA like bedframes etc.
The Horse meatballs, were a Scandal in Sweden were Meatballs were made from Horses (nothing wrong with that) but it was labeled as another kind of meat.
The horse meat thing was also a scandal in England too and what makes this song even funnier to me is that my brother in law is Swedish.

The reason why ut was such a large scandal (as I remember it) was the combination of there being undeclared stuff (in this case, horsemeat), but what made this worse was that it was old sport horses (as you can give them medical treatments that we don't allow meat animals (can't remember the correct term)).
As well as the thought, if they're putting horsemeat (and pork, which some people don't like) in our beef products what else are they putting in our food?
My initial reaction to this was pretty similar to yours. The legitimately awesome composition and musicianship combined with the EXTREMELY stupid lyrics is the perfect recipe for a good time!
The IKEA logo on the longship always pops me in this video. It has become a December tradition of mine.

I love this band, great musicians and so funny..... and so many easter eggs in this song on top of the play on blasphemy towards christianity in the latin parts.... it is just brilliant.

parody specifically about Swedish chrismas, which is actually mostly pagan/norse with some christian elements. It features some Swedish quirks like Systembolaget and when they ran out of viking themes they spent half the song randomly quoting the IKEA catalog.
