Fun fact 2: they're italian and the very last word, "cool", in italian is "cul" that means... ass. And the hand gesture when they say "cool", is the hand gesture for... Uranus... ^_____^ (yes, we've a hand gesture also for that "planet"...)
If anyone wonders about the outfits of the background dancers they are Sailor Moon based and change according to what planet they are currently singing about.
These small touches and details are insanely great! I was laughing so hard on their “Odino & Valhalla” when guitar solo was just a “Lambada” song))))))) and during that solo there were three words from “Chop Suey”: “You wanted to!!!”))))) it longs less than a seconds but made me laugh for half an hour :D
Regarding the pronunciation; It was originally ur-anus but roughly 20 or so years ago, a bunch of people with influence got tired of all the butt hole jokes & made a big coordinated effort to change it to urin-us. So we went from Anus (butt hole) to Urine (piss)... congratulations on making the name less filthy?
Alternatively, they could ditch the deeply flawed Erasmian-derived pronunciation and go with the original name, Ouranos (with emphasis on the last "o").
I'd say the proper pronunciation is however its said in greek. Ouranos (aka Uranus) is the sky god (and the personification of the sky), father to Kronos and the other titans along with the hecatoncheires, in Greek myths
I haven't looked it up to confirm, but I'm pretty sure the line, "A 6.2-inch telescope held in William Herschel's hands" is a reference to the average penis length.
Fun fact...Nanowar's bass player has a Ph.D in astrophysics!!!
And he's an actual astronomer for his day job!
Michael Starr also has a Ph.D. In his case, a pretty hard Dee Eye See Kay 😁
He also speaks 11 languages and 4 fluently.

They also worked in Auqarius right after Bee Gees. And some ACDC. Gotta love the song
It als might have been Aerosmith (love in an Elevator) but AC/DC did it first though
@@114Riggs You’re right. Well spotted. 👍
@@ShadowhispersBand I should have asked them. I have met them last Sathurday
@@114Riggs Nice. I hope the show was as funny and as great as when I saw them this year.
Ok, now just look for the other songs by Nanowar of Steel. You'll love them. Trust me .
My first time crowd surfing was to Vallhalleluja last weekend.
Nothing like a good song about space exploration.

I though it was renamed Urectum
I love that Sailor Uranus dancers were there... 🤣

ballroom blitz at the end?
Love this song. I was in Branson a couple weeks ago. A family friend did a new tat and a revamp of another one at the house of ink.

Actually is the size of the lens of the telescope invented by the astronomer William Herschel 😂😂😂 but you are right anyway 😂
didn't know Silent Bob started doing reactions.
😂😂
Great reaction. And check the new album, it’s awesome 😂😂😂
The BEST fudge comes from Uranus!
