Honestly, the best thing about Nanowar of Steel, even if we can set aside the hilarity and cleverness of all their writing, is that the MUSIC ITSELF IS SO GOOD. I mean really, this sounds like any really well-written, classic fantasy-oriented power metal song. I love when they take a song and parody an entire genre with it, while also doing justice to that genre. And of course, their sense of humor just kills me. Every time.
now that's industrial metal!
No, no, industrial is too large scale. This is more on a DIY level.
Rowenta is a firm that produces electric household appliences like vaccum cleaners and toasters and such. :D
The song is called in full 'Ironmonger (The Copier of the Seven Keys)' which is a direct reference to German band Helloween and more specifically their second album 'Keeper of the Seven Keys (Part 1)' which, released in 1987 (Part 2 in 88, as the label refused to allow a double album even though it's all one storyline), is considered one of the original pioneering works of the power metal genre in Europe. A key copier is an employee common to hardware stores who duplicates keys for a fee.
Don't know if anybody explained it yet, but "ironmonger" is the direct translation of the italian colloquial "ferramenta": the hardware store.
Apparently in the UK the word "ironmonger" is simply still used for hardware / DIY store.
@Nyerguds to the both of youse, that is metal as fuk.(for me at least. I'm partly a handyman myself... Mostly because I'm a poor boy. 😅)
Nanowar of Steel? This is obviously a Tool video!
PS: That solo is from a song called "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤IFL that song! Foo Fighters covered it quite well
I was legitimately wheezing for half this song, OH, MY GOD. This song is hilarious and amazing! "The David hasselhoff of the glue", SAVE ME 😭😂
😂😂😂
6:18 Rowenta is a German company, just like Bosch. It produces small household appliances and they're very well known in Europe because of the reliability of their product.
Firts time i've seen such a blatant reference to Manowar by them. Even after the key change, the shrill voice is so much like Eric Adams's... 🤣
The main riff is definitely Manowar.
@@cosme28 It is practically identical to the one from Manowar's "Call to arms"
Yea, most of their more direct parodies are towards their Italian colleagues of Rhapsody of Fire.
They did it much more strict in early albums, Blood of the Queens for example
The "grandfather of Thor" shown in the video is Marco Pannella, a (now deceased) Italian politician and activist, historical leader of the radical party, known for his nonviolence and civil rights' campaigns (for the right to divorce, the right to abortion, the legalization of cannabis and the abolition of nuclear power). He often did hunger strikes to push his civil rights campaigns
❤️
thanks i didnt know. it make the song better, a shame noone will get it except italians. love from france
What do you mean?
The grandfather of Thor and father of Odin is an ancient god named Bor.
The fact that Marco Pannella looks similar is just a coincidence.
@@rotciv1492 I mean the guy shown in the video when they say "the grandfather of Thor" ; )
@@89lozzi I know lol. And I made a joke about the grandfather of Thor looking like Marco Pannella.
The funniest part is that at the Ironmaiden concert at the end they replaced the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom with the one of the European Union.
Black & Decker, Rowenta and Bosch are electric household manufactures.
Leroy Merlin is a French headquartered home improvement and gardening retailer
I'm sure it's been mentioned below but the solo is from Baker Street, normally a glorious sax piece that they absolutely nail because Nanowar are not only funny writers, and great performers, they are also awesome musicians. The guitar work is always genuinely inspired and beautiful. I hate that they are so good, but I love that they keep doing their own thing. Their latest album Italian Folk Metal is a work of absolutely weird genius.
I was totally sure the solo was from "L'estate sta finendo" by Righeira 😂
Love your reactions to Nanowar songs. Most youtubers try to remain very collected, but you guys are having FUN and you show it. You make them even funnier.
One of their latest songs "Chupacabra Cadabra" starts with the intro to Painkiller then goes into an epic mexican mariachi song and it's just...glorious.
I suggest u react to "Tooht Fairy"... First and Unique financial metal song :)
Her policies are inflacionary.
🎶 Like a helicopter droppppp
Rowenta is a company here in europe they make vacums ,hair dryers, steam cleaners, electric razors etc...
I wonder if you guys remember Jackyl, the lumberjack song..... plays the chainsaw as an instrument. Was fun.
This reaction is addictive , i mean probably is the twentieth time i see it waiting for yours face expressions
Saxophone is Baker Street?
I love you guys, and I love Nanowar 😂😂
Oh god thank you so much, I've been trying to figure is out for I dunno like more then an year now. Cause I 100% knew the "riff" bit I couldn't place it at all. And even talked to my parents and they were the exact same as they knew but couldn't place it.
Yes!!! Appreciate you!!
a guitar sole on a saxophone solo it's pure bricolage
Yo...Gerry Rafferty-Baker street.
Nice reaction, nice band, nice song! But remember, cuthulu is still calling ;)
the riff reminds me of bands like bathory, venom, celtic frost and the like..
Yesss, finally. One of my favorites❤️
Nanowar rocks so great! Love em.
Actually there is a band called cuestack who wrote a metal song and i dont know why, they got hasselhoff to record the vocals for it. The guitarist has one heck of a youtube channel about guitar playing.
Check out Alejandro Sayago's cover of Through the fire and flames on flute.
3:06 ...Is that a young Mick Jagger?
Anyway, fun fact: The song mentioned elsewhere in these comments, with The Hoff on vocals, is called Through The Night by Cuestack. It's actually pretty good. And he stars in the music video...Hell, you could react to it even ruclips.net/video/FggsEkPQEbc/видео.html ...And it's not even his only musical foray. He's been in everything from pop to '80s-style synth rock.
That riff sounds like Massacration
Another perfect reaction🤣🤣🤣👍
The Sax you just had was on Baker Street.
A couple of comments.
Firstly the solo was the sax solo from Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" which came out in 1978. Of course on the screen they have someone playing a guitar yet it is still sax we are hearing. I think perhaps they are taking the piss😀.
Secondly, near the end when they pay "homage" to Maiden they have doctored a photo of Bruce Dickinson who was very much in favour of Brexit (if you don't know the UK voted to leave the EU and that is basically what it means). Here they had him with an EU flag. Being a European band it might be them giving him the finger. I think they might also be taking the piss😂! Good lads!
Bruce like most of us in the UK love Europe, we just don't like the EU. Unelected officials deciding what we can and cannot do.
Baywatcher of the batteries 🤣 thanks for your reaction!
The Saxophone player from The Lost Boys.
That would be Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty.
Love u guys ❤️
👋 From Italy
🧡💙⚡️🐓
I love all!🖤🖤🖤😂😂😂
Hoffnungslos gut
Rowenta is a brand of house tools if i am not wrong.
yeah, quite popular in Europe(or at least in Italy)
@@SirtaoEsposito Think its popular here in serbia as well.
Rowenta is a German manufacturer ,famous in Italy for the advertising "Rowenta, per chi non si accontenta" which means Rowenta for those who are not satisfied.
I've seen irons from rowenta in the u.s.
It's very popular in Spain too
Having never before heard a song that was not about David Hasselhoff, I'm not sure what to make of this.
It'll never catch on. 😉
All are friends of David Hasseloff... :P
I would like to suggest "NANOWAR OF STEEL - Der Fluch des Kapt’n Iglo" (with English sub)
Thank you!
I love you guys... Can I suggrzt two absolutely underratrd Nanowar songs? The call of Chtulhu and sneeztem of a yawn made during The first lockdown for the pandemic, The lyrics are incredible😁
The lyrics of Sneeztem of a Yawn are absolutely next-level genius.
@@Nyerguds I was about to suggest that one too !
Next reaction "la maledizione di capitan findus". Ok is in italian, but it has subtitles 🤣
Great reaction, try reacting to heavy metal kibbles or call of cthulu by nanowar.
NEW SINGLE RAMMSTEIN - ANGST 😱
i would like to suggest HammerFall - Dominion (Ths is a Heavy song! with heavy riffs, cool lyrics) or Brotherhood, really cool song and the instruments really speaks, Its also a thank you song to their fans, It has alot of cliche in the video, but they do it being honest
you ever figure out what the sax riff was from
Love it! 🤣
Please do "Schwanzwald" next 😁
where's Paul's "Buongiorno "?😡
Baker Street.
IT'S BAKER STREET!!!!
It's called "Baker Street"

Its only a joke
