Pumping what gas inside the bottles? Argon? Is there a gas tank? How do you refill that?

Argon is preferred and will keep wine longer, but nitrogen will work as well. There's an adapter you can buy and yes it'll hook up to a tank of really any size you choose. 22 cu ft is a standard size for in home but hell you could go as big as you need as long as the bottle fitting is the same lol as far as I'm concerned no one should use these units using the cartridges. They are a rip off, use a bottle with the regulator attachment and it'll last 100x longer before needing refilled/swapped out

How loud is the wine dispenser machine?

It's about as loud as a standard wine cooler. Compressor kicks on when it needs to. It's not what I would consider to be a loud machine.
