do you think deep conditioning is necessary for locs? if you do deep conditioning what are some of your go-to products and routines? thank you all for your support, much love!!
When I tell you that *OUR BLACK IS SO BEAUTIFUL, AND THAT THE QUEEN IN THIS VIDEO IS PROOF OF THAT.........LISTEN....... WHEWWW CHYEEE.* This MELANIN ain't no joke! 🥵
no, i don’t use leave in. i mainly just use water and seal it in with oil for moisture. i only braided and banded for the first 2 washes but i would recommend you do it longer to prevent a lot of the unraveling i experienced
i usually opt for oils and water to moisturize my locs too but at this time i felt like they needed something more. i think it depends on your hair and how careful you are about getting the product out. oils can also cause buildup, you just have to make sure you are washing and cleansing your locs when needed. everyone’s hair is different. ultimately we should be doing what’s best for our hair. so if oils and rose water are giving you the moisture your locs need definitely stick to that routine.
do you think this would be okay to do on starters? with my past sets they were really dry and oil and water were often not enough. for my new set i'm honestly considering using creams due to how dry my hair is 😭
i think it depends on your hair texture. if you have a loader texture using conditioner before they’re mature can lead to slippage and unraveling due to the manipulation paired with the conditioner making your strands softer. i personally wouldn’t do it on starters though

Wow your hair is so full and healthy. Absolutely beautiful!
thank you queen 🤍
Do you ever use leave in conditioner, if so how often?
When did you stop braiding and banding your hair? Do you always air dry?

yes i always air dry
Won’t those products cause build up in the locs over time? I’m new to the loc community. I only use oil and rose water to moisturize my locs.

@@queentyquana Thank you for the advice!
@@moniquerandall3853 ofc!
I honestly need to start back deep conditioning. I stopped once I got my locs and that’s probably why my hair is dry 🥹
do you use any oils? i wet mine with water and seal that moisture with a light oil like grapeseed oil
Please how often do you deep condition your hair?
not often, whenever i feel my hair needs it.
