Well, the battery health no. which shown on iphone is also works in the same way but most of the time glitches and not shows actual no. Moreover, the real health of a battery does not only depends on charge cycles but also depends on usage and temperature of it which can leads to speedup the battery damage or slow down its aging.
Why is the Sleep on the health section doesn’t give an actual data, even from Apple Watch & even from iPhone, I have insomnia but my iPhone & Apple Watch always tracks like over 8 hours of sleep.
I had bought an iPhone 6s (my first cell ever!) used from my neighbor in 06/21. I think she took pretty good care of it. Cracked screen, though. This phone worked very well for me. I went to a phone repair place & got a new Apple battery in 08/22. (& new charger.) The battery continued to say 100% battery health for entire time since then, when I bought an iPhone SE 2020 on 01/30/23 from same neighbor. My old 6s started out with occasional turn-offs around Nov. 2022. It got so it wouldn't hold a charge & then started dying on me til it was totally dead. But the whole time battery health said 100% & I am still wondering why my phone died. Not knowing any better, I would wind battery down each night so I could charge it on optimized charging & leave it on all night so I would wake up with 100% battery each morning. My neighbor used to charge it overnight too. (which I have since advised her against.) What is bothering me is phone repair guy, (who I believe is real qualified) said it could either be the battery which was only a few months old, or the motherboard.I didn't know about checking out battery discussed in your video. I'm still wondering why the battery health said !00% the whole time. Any ideas would really be welcome so I don't have this problem again.(I never do gaming or watch movies on my phones.) I'm sorry for long comment but I could use some help since I can't afford to keep buying phones & batteries every few months. Actually I am kind of afraid to use my new to me phone & am unable to enjoy it! Thank you for great video-I really appreciated your clarity & speaking voice!❤💚
Overnight charging is safe for your phone because smartphones and most other devices have overcharging circuitry built in to prevent damage. To me it sounds like the phone repair guy sold you a bad battery. I’d go back and tell him it is defective. Those are the symptoms of a defective battery.
Yes, as stated below, there is a way to optimize your battery usage and charging habits to prolong its overall lifespan and that is to never completely drain it all the way, and to not charge it to 100%. Also, if you happen to be shutting it down and storing it for a prolonged period of time for some reason, 60ish% is good. Again, not too full and not too low. That is apparently the way to prolong the battery's lifespan is to avoid the extremes at one end or the other. Of course it's totally safe to charge overnight because it won't overcharge (built in feature) but optimal charge for battery longevity is actually less than 100%.
When Apple support tests it says it has 93% battery health for my iPad, when I did it with this shortcut it came out 81%. and it was definitely not like 93% anyway..!
When I drive, I always plug in to connect Apple CarPlay in car for mapping. Does it consider one charge cycle every time I plug in no matter how long or short the trip is ? If it does, it will shorten the battery life much much faster then. Please comment.
Yes mine is at 192 cycles n at 97.46 % on iphone 13 n still at 100% battery health on Apple's battery health information. My battery is at 3226 capacity but on this system you using it shows 3310 original capacity. I charge anytime I like never below 60% n never above 80 to 90% mostly all the time .
Very interesting, I think the reason for this is because to minimize the amount of times a customer brings in a device for replacing the battery since all AppleCare customers can replace the battery when it is below 80 percent.
@@akarui241 yes because this method calculates the actual battery capacity which is more than what apple estimates as all lithium batteries come with different n more capacity than stated. So it's correct what this method n apple are both doing. So your battery is still legally 100% ... 😊🤝
you iphone 14 pro max has 126 sycles and is at 94%health my iPhone 13 has 249 cycles and has 92% health isn't your iPhone should be higher than 94 percent cuz it has much fewer cycles ?
Bro I brought my 13 10 days before and my cycles are 7 and in short battery 🔋 is 98.71% but in maximum capacity there is 100 which one is true please answer 😢
My phone is 2 months old . In the settings the battery health is 99 but after downloading shortcut of battery status it’s showing my battery health is 93 .🙄
Why on my battery health it shows 85% but after applying this method it shows now 93%? And the cycle count is also different, on the analytics without this shorcut it shows 441 but in applyin this its shows only 130? How does it happen??
I did the same as show the result shown different: Your iPhone battery's real stats: MaximumFCC (original maximum capacity): 0 mAh NominalChargeCapacity (current maximum capacity): 312 mAh CycleCount (number of complete charge cycles): 43 cycles Relative to when it was new, your battery capacity is %. I don’t know.
How is his battery at 94% after 126 cycles whereas mine is already at 96% after 44 cycles? I never let it go to below 20% charge and charge it overnight with optimized battery turned on🤷
Sorry, I’m confused, I downloaded the shortcut but it tells me that my original capacity was 0 mah - current max cap is 309 mah - 77 cycles and relative to when new capacity is % (no number). It seems like it’s confused. Cycles are probably correct but the rest…? (it’s an iPhone 14 pro max new at end of September)
I have 12 pro max could you believe battery health dropped 96% to 88% with in a month i don’t understand whats wrong with my phone. After every 3 4 days it’s dropping 1% do you have any suggestions???
I don’t these stuff like this or even Apple’s battery health is accurate. I just downloaded it this and it mine says 86% relative when it was new. The actual battery health on my iPhone 13 Pro Max is 95%. I’m only at 80 charge cycles. I think it’s off. Battery health is just an estimate. It’s not very accurate. I probably am at 98%. If it dropped to 86%, it would stay at that number for a long long time. My mom’s iPhone 12 Pro Max is still at 91% after 10 whole months. It hasn’t dropped since then. My iPhone XR which I use as a side device that plays music for my videos has stayed at 84% since August of 2022. I drained that battery heavily.

this video is incorrect, this man has no idea what he is talking about, the number shown in setting is accurate. ( 1 charge cycle is equal to 100% of charging , so say you plug in and charge your phone 50 percent, that would be equal to half of a charge cycle.)

Battery health is anxiety, Apple should remove it.
