Amazing content and quality. Overlaying of actual route in drone footage i have seen first time. It also highlightes how difficult the actual execution is. 1000s of private properties has acquired and demolished. We keep blaming govt but its not easy for them at all. Lot of hard work is put by different teams to achieve something like this on ground!

For over 1000km, high-speed train loses their advantage over air travel. But having said, Mumbai should be connected to Delhi by high-speed train(second phase), even if km increases over the desired length because India has the population density to make it work and it will pass through various states. But Delhi to Chennai or Bangalore is an overkill. If the argument is that a high-speed corridor from Mumbai-Banglore(1000km) so, in a way Delhi will be connected by high-speed to Bangalore but I don't see people using it to travel 2300 km because air travel will be cheaper and faster than high-speed train.

Even in the 1950s and 60s, plane travel was out of reach for the middle class. Even in metro cities, landline phones were not accessible to 10% of city dwellers. With cheaper energy sources such as Green Hydrogen, and much higher speed with Hyperloop, such flying distances may be within the grasp of the middle class definitely.

Imagine a seamless connectivity from Delhi to southern part of India from a bullet train, I know its sound unreal.
Unreal, but that's the future.
Mumbai Ahmedabad is just Phase 1.
Nobody will travel from Delhi to Chennai by bullet train, aeroplane will be faster and cheaper

I am glad that this project has restarted after Uddhav Govt fell. He was really a big obstacle to development of Maharashtra. Now everyone is rubbed off.
