Whats the point in having a country with borders if their not secured an anyone an everyone can just stroll on across? Hayley Sims Haley it's not as simple as you might think. For some reason the US harder on immigration than Hispanic countries more than other countries. It's not as simple as applying for permission and getting it 3 months later.. it takes years. And I mean 10,15,20 years if even. Also the government only issued a certain amount of Visas per year. See the reason why so many Americans don't understand why people immigrate from Mexico is because they don't understand the way of life or situation there. The majority of Mexico is poor. The quality of life there is nothing compared to the quality of life here. Poverty here does not even compare to the poverty there. If people immigrate and are willing to live here scared, paranoid, and for minimum wage plus no benefits. It explains a lot. We as hispanics don't complain because we have more than we've ever had.... hope I cleared things up and I'm glad you asked that question.

To clear things up. A "Dreamer" is a child of an illegal parent who was brought to this country as a child. This person is raised here and has only lived here. Sometimes being here longer than some of the people here commenting. Went to school here, graduated high school and wants to attend a college/university or even join the military. The children did not choose to come here and break the law and are now in limbo. If they are deported to "their" country they will suffer as well since they have never lived here, all they have from that country is a birth certificate. Obama signed an executive order called "DACA" in which these individuals may now apply for a work permit and social security. These individuals are now able to go to school, drive legally, and even work legally. This DACA gives the individual a chance to prove they are worthy of being a US resident and eventually a US citizen. The current president keeps talking about the bad ones, what we don't know is what is the plan for dreamers? I hope this comment clears things up a bit for the misinformed
