This actually is really relaxing for some reason. I think the sound reminds me of an air conditioner during the summer.
I wish my the air conditioner or heater at my dad's house sounded like this.

Thankfully most air contitioners are slightly quieter than the Di4...

Well, I see a GP40-2 or an SD40-2 when I close mine.
It's probably not idling, as cars are connected, if the 1000V power is switched on its running on 40% power as the lowest setting.
That's the 645 engine at idle. Common sound still here in the USA; many SD40 and GP40 series locomotives were built and remain in service today.
The EMD is definitely idling...but perhaps there's a PGC(power generation car) lined-in within the consist.
