I have an elantra gt sport, and i fkn love everything about this car, the handling, the low end tq, the amenities ect, and of course the amazing stock exhaust sound.
@@TVinmyEye that’s so dope man! I really want to get one of these now that they are roughly 18K with less then 40k miles. Appreciate the response bro🤟🏼
I have this car in 6 speed manual, I think the shifter is great with slow shifting as well as fast shifting. The car rides and drives great, no complaints at all.
Shane Angle ya I’ve got the white 18 gt sport manual as well great cars , came from a 16 veloster turbo and these seem to have a lot more power especially down low great ride quality and love the quality of the interior and exterior no regrets about it at all !
People always rip on Hyundai for stealing design from Audi/VW, it's because the head of design at Hyundai/Kia is Peter Schreyer who designed a ton of Audis and VWs. His influence on the brand design is the reason you see similarities.
Thank you for saying it so I didn’t have to. Hyundai isn’t stealing anything at all lol, they are just proving that they are a competitor in the game to be watched.
I have a '19 Elantra GT N Line. Absolutely love this car as Hyundai has improved the handling and suspension. Very classy and quick with fantastic build quality.
John Appleseed I get what u mean. Soft rounded sounding indicators are the best. It doesn’t blare at you with loud clicks. But this actually takes it up a notch compared to the one’s in our Mazda. This almost sounds luxurious haha.
Wow man, you video actual made me feel as though I was in the car with you. Never really experienced the feeling of driving fast from a auto review. Good job bro.
Hate to say it, I really like this car. Being on a budget I can appreciate budget hatches that are practical, fun to drive, have a 6 SP (save the manual) and that exhaust is not bad at all. I will say the wheels are fugly and probably heavy. I would replace them with some light weight 17's and get some decent summer tires. Everything else seems spot on plus with the deals no one pays MSRP for a Hyundai :)
2damaxmr2 I was going to buy a used Elantra and the new ones were the same price. Dealers want $19,000 for one with 20,000 miles and new ones you can get for only a few more than that with the full warranty and usually a lower interest rate
I'm really interested in this car with the automatic and the Forte5 Automatic, having a hard time deciding between the two, I was initially looking at a GTI as it's only $3000ish more in Canada but I hear a lot of horror storys with VW dealers and mechanics which is kind of pushing me away. and as a first time car buyer i think the GTI name would cost me far more insurance wise than a Elantra GT Sport, But idk I'm just trying to find a sub 7 second 0-60 reliable daily driver. so any suggestions are appreciated.
I have the DCT, but I average around 34 MPG on my daily commute, which is mostly back roads going anywhere between 35 MPH to 55 MPH with a bunch of hills scattered in. Closer to 38 MPG on the highway for longer trips, but ymmv
dry509 performances wise the st is superior however the build quality of the st is awful. The gti is also assembled in Mexico. At the end of the day do you want a vehicle with superior performance or a vehicle with better fit and finish. The choice is yours
Shane Angle Have you actually driven one of these? Because, I have. I can tell you, the infotainment screen feels a little tacky when you use it a little more often.
The type N (i30, same car in Europe) is the gti competitor. There are reviews on RUclips. It's quite the monster. EDIT: check out the i30N (Elentra GT) ruclips.net/video/pSJU7SWYgxw/видео.html
Why does Hyundai keep using that shitty starter from a 2000 Accent? If they want to be taken seriously there's a lot they're going to need to do. There have been turbo engine issues, carbon buildup issues and the interior quality is still lacking. They're a great value but details matter as much as the whole car.
What wrong with the starter? There are not many turbo issue I heard of; and if you count a few problem turbos an issue then every turbo engine from any brand have issue. Until every turbo engine switch to dual injecting system they will have carbon buildup. Its the nature of direct injection. Like other said use top tier gas and good engine oil will prolong the buildup. My 70k mile turbo engine is clean. Interior material and quality is not the best but not worst than most.
94 octane won't stop the carbon from building up. Catch can will do more work than high octane fuel. This vehicle is tuned with 87 octane so there is no point on putting premium in it. The motor will not advance the timing to give you more power.

How’s it been holding up?
@@royceg3375 I have put 83,500 miles and it’s still running great! Some carb build up for the GDI, but no problems at all

@@TVinmyEyeyo how’s it holding up 😂 I bought one a couple months ago with 47,000 miles it’s been absolutely great.

And maybe the reason for the coming success
The front looks exactly like a Focus

Wait until the drop the awd Elantra Gt N

It's more "dik dok dik dok" than "tik tok tik tok" if you see me
That's a nice little detail that adds to the ''luxury'' of the car (for it's price ofc)
I hate when car reviewers say, "It's doesn't __________ as well as _________...but it's not as expensive"...

Nice driving man it looked fun
Hyundai did a great job but I felt like the cabin noise is just a bit loud.
congr on 30k subs, you deserve better :)
How’s the clutch travel?
Looking for something with short clutch travel, thx.
Topher, how would you compare this to the focus st?
It would be a good second car to buy used in a 2 or 3 years after it takes the depreciation hit.

would you do a mazda 3 drive?
I’m curious to know your opinion: what’s the most fun-to-drive car in this price range?
is it in Austin,Texas? The roads are pretty good👌
How did you drive even the newest and most luxurious cars?Whats your job?Im wondering. When i grow up i want to have a job like yours
Looks like the shift throws are miles long lol
How does this compare to the regular Elantra Sport
Are the side mirrors foldable
Seems like a lot of road noise?
You were driving that Hyundai like how it’s supposed to be a rental
Audilife lol it's a nice little car tbh
Just salty all of Audi's new cars are ugly because their good designers work for Hyundai now.
How's the real world fuel economy?
Shanyao Fan

Can you drive the 2018 toyota camry
Audio is great!!?
So is this car for a blood or a crip?
Neither, it’s for Spiderman
Not anymore, Hyundai's making cars worth buying now ;)
Does this have an LSD or is that reserved for the i30 N?
Mohd A. I'm sure it's reserved for the N
Only on the N30 model or if your in the US Veloster N coming as a 2019. Model. Why can't we get the N30 here in the states. I hate the VT looks..
could be the new daily

Looks like the bastard love child of Golf and Focus. Major turn off was the infotainment screen sticking out much like the Mazda 3's.
I love driving!! But dont have a license yet. Can get it at 18
Hyundai you need to make more sport cars!
I like the interior, but the infotainment screen doesn't fit in with it at all.

Yeah, shame they don't sell it in the us
Welcome to “ KUWAIT CARS” 🇰🇼
They pulled things in the interior from the GTI.
Sebastian Santos if you’re gonna copy an interior that’s not a bad choice
Well the guy who used to design cars for Audi and VW works for Hyundai and Kia, Peter Schreyer. Thats why the look similar.
I had no idea. I can definitely tell. And yeah I agree. Not a bad choice at all.
You should do a vehicle that's unexpected, like a Chrysler Pacifica
Honda civic hatch is still the best hatch in the segment (since the refreshed golf isn't out yet but those aren't as reliable)
can you do a Topher top 10 vehicles in the future?
New you get a 100k warranty. No brand beats that
The steering wheel looks like an old Asian guy without teeth haha
0:37 horrible door sound

I miss my Mazda 3 hatch, that I recently traded in for a boring car, more than I miss my last girlfriend.
I'd pay the extra to get the Golf, just for the resale
Golf wannabe
Shell Casing ...and that’s definitely not a bad thing.
GTI is unattractive car....ugly compared to this car
