  • The final episode to the rebuild of my Superhawk. In this video we will be correcting the cam timing which caused the top end issues of the bike, as well as syncing the carbs. Then another test ride just to make sure it pulls as it should.

Good to see its running better, sounds like its running on both cylinders now where in part two it was only on 1.

I was woundering why the bike sounded like a 250 in the last video😂
Amazing that it even ran okay with the timing that off.

Really hoping i can pick your brain about this bike if i run into complications. I just picked up one of these a week or so ago and im doing a huge teardown/rebuild on it. Fun fact, i also live in ohio.

Hey dude, good job! I need your help..
I watched thru all 3 trying to look for the clue of my problem.
2 weeks ago, i accidentally fit the battery on opposite direction and swapped +ve and -ve pole causing sparks. Battery caput, change new battery fit opposite way again but no spark this time. Then called a friend and he was the who told me that i've fitted it on wrong connection. Then reconnect the pole on correct side but no power indication when switch on. I've checked the fuses but none of them show signs of burned. Havent take off the fairing yet seems i m not technical handy.
Do you know what possibly had happened to my bike and advise me where to start to rectify it... :(

Which fuses did you check? I believe there is a main 30A fuse that is under the rear fairing near the R/R. That would probably be where I would look.

I don't get it about the cams. If piston is at TDC, and the cams are half a turn out, then when you turn the crank one exact revolution, the cams will turn half a turn and be where you want them, since the cams turn at half the speed of the crank. So I don't get it.

Because it's out with respect to the other cylinder. And there are two TDCs, one on compression and one on exhaust.

I've been looking for a bike stand like the one you got, where can I find one? 😉

Found my front and rear stands on FB Marketplace for $150. Actually bought a pair of BNIB track boots from the dude for another $100 lol
