First Time at Pusheta Creek MX!
Five weeks after dislocating my shoulder, I decided it was healed enough to get back out there. I accidentally set the gopro angle pointing a little down, that or knocked it at some point and didn't notice. I'll try and get that corrected for any future MX content.

First time on MX track, dislocates shoulder!
Просмотров 4812 года назад
This was my first time on an MX track doing jumps. The video was frame later in the day and I was not only getting more tired but a little too confident. I decided to try and hit this step-up, cased off the top and bounced down the landing, not wanting to hit the other guy i just tried to get off track and fell off going over the berm. No-one else was harmed but me, and shoutout to A Rob for fi...

In this video I finally get my $1000 2003 Honda 996 Superhawk (VTR1000F) out to stretch her legs! I also gave some updates on more work I had to do on this bike, buying cheap motorcycles isn't always easy, but it is so worth it! For more details on the Reliability Rally: reliabilityrally.com/

The final episode to the rebuild of my Superhawk. In this video we will be correcting the cam timing which caused the top end issues of the bike, as well as syncing the carbs. Then another test ride just to make sure it pulls as it should.

Mid Ohio Track Day! (2006 Subaru STI)

I finally have a GoPro setup to be able to capture my track day experience. This was my 3rd track day event, and the video only shows the 3rd session out. I really love the perspective of the video, and this will be an awesome tool to be able to look back at my lines and my progress with this car. The setup the STI has right now is feeling really good on track. I plan to make a few small tweaks...
The Honda 919 is an ADV bike.... right? Best of Ohio group ride!

Group ride with some friends touring 270 miles of south eastern Ohio. There are some really amazing roads in Ohio, you just have to know where to look. Our group leader and ride planner did an amazing job, except for that one unplanned off-roading adventure. The 919 can be an adventure bike too... right? PSA If you ever get caught on gravel with your sport tires, just remember easy throttle, an...

Incredible section of RT28! Is it better than The Dragon?
Ari Henning @ Revzilla did a total rebuild on the Honda CT90 he rode to the Arctic Circle, o music at all, one of the most Zen things I have ever watched. The music is a little bit much(especially for an old dude like me w tinnitus after riding for 50 years), otherwise good video man.
The cam timing is crazy!! Good catch
Its fixed now so that is good, but i wish i had known,,,, honda rad caps loose their spring tension when they get old,,,,,(there are 2 seals in a cap) you likely could have fixed it just installing a new 10$ cap.... its a common problem I have noticed wrenching on honda's of that area,,,,, telltale is coolant bottle starts to fill almost as soon as the bike begins to warm up.... dont hold the pressure back at all in the rad like it should,, also seen it with new chinese knockoffs.........
I have a red VTR 1000 that i took up there, it was such a blast... i cant wait to go back someday!
Why the ridiculous music?
❤❤
❤❤❤
Not much of a rebuild if the bike is running and pristine
After 26 years, my Firestorm ( Canadian :) Is still running strong…especially at higher Rpm! Love its torque and wicked exhaust note!! She still is plenty thrilling to ride 😎
How much have u put into the bike
I loved mine. It had all kinds of fun upgrades on it. Fox Shock, 954 front end, jet kit, Erion pipes etc….
Not to be a bother but out of curiosity..did anybody ever try CBR 954 rear wheel? . The front end is what I want but I can get a rear for free the whole wheel.. with rotor.. any info would be great.. 2000 superhawk part number wheel 42650 same as CBR900RR.. 2002 954rr..
@@markgreene6349 I never tried that. You could look up the axle, spacer, and bearings to see if they are the same.
I bought another firestorm for 2g just needs cdi unit.
just picked one up for 600$ usd. Im not the best at fixing things but for that price on my dads old bike model i couldnt pass it up!
I had a VTR for several years LOVED IT! The thing was oozing with character. Smiles every time i rode her. with big H would make these again with SFI and some better suspension
I can't get enough of this thing. I ride it all the time. I just love the way it sounds the feel of it, everything about it is top notch.
Ruined by annoying horrendous music.
you guys think this is good come to Australia Melborne Victoria and ride The Black Spur bye the way i had the same color and year bike a top ride
Very nice😊💯💯
do you still have the hawk?
Yup! I absolutely love it.
Awesome bro...I noticed you're also in Buckeye state? Not many off us superhawk riders out here. Have you done track days on it? I'm doing the tear down right now and rejetting the carbs. Thanks to your video....making this process so much easier!
I also own a VTR. I find it's a bike which responds very well to counter steering. On a road like this you get to try a lot of different techniques! In this video, as the miles wore on, I noticed the rider became more and more "dialled in" to how the bike handles and how late he could dive into a corner etc etc.
But Honda's okay with it 30000 mile the timing chains go out and your motor blows up no recall Hondas perfectly okay with it... it literally makes me sick I saved up so I could ride this year and lasted me one day it sounded perfect it ran perfect just change the oil on my way to the mountains on Cloud9 and all the sudden clack clack clack clack at 30 miles an hour...... and then as I start doing research oh yeah these bikes only last till 30,000 miles if you don't change the timing chain tensioner I'll keep bringing it up until Honda gets ahold of me
So... its over 20years old issue in these bikes.. do i need to say more ?
I'm on my second 2003 VTR right now with 47 000 or so km on the odometer (29 300 miles give or take), my first VTR I stopped riding after it started getting gear box issues at 176 000 km (110 000 miles), engine still ran fine with the original stock timing chain tensioners. The issue is known but it doesn't affect all bikes, it's a Rusian roulette thing really, I did admittedly change them on my new VTR at 45 000 km just to be safe, it's about 150 euros worth of work and parts so really 150 euros every 45 000 km or so, I don't consider that to be unacceptable maintenance considering the sheer enjoyment I get from the beast
I bought a 2001 vtr1000 superhawk geez people don't understand how quick they are look at the quarter mile 10-second quarter-mile these bikes are not slow by any means freaking blast to ride they handle amazing only one problem with them 30000 Mi they're done and I can't believe the Hondas okay with this no recall at 30,000 miles on these bikes the timing chain tensioner goes out for sure they do and then it blows your motor up Hondas okay with a 30000 mile bike it freaking drives me up the wall now that it happened to me it really shines a light on it why is there not a recall Honda Honda Honda Honda recall the superhawk the timing chain tensioner goes out at 30,000 miles you all know this why is there not a recall I spent $3,500 on the bike gear another $2,000 put new tires front and back on the bike another $400 it literally ran for fucking one day the day after I put the new tires on it change the oil head for the mountains smiling from ear-to-ear then all the sudden clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack freaking Honda 30000 MI Motors down and Honda's perfectly okay with selling us a 30,000 mile bike look it up that's what they're known to go for 30000 miles if you don't change that...... So Honda do a recall and change that I'm freaking believable you think we could have money just to throw away why would anybody buy a motorcycle that only runs for 30,000 miles and this is not a fluke it's all over the internet that's how long they last 30000 miles.... recall Honda recall Honda recall Honda recall Honda recall Honda isn't anybody going to get behind me on this do we really all think 30,000 miles is acceptable look it up that's how long these bikes last if you don't change out the timing tensioner which is not something we should have to do that is on Honda to do before the fucking motorcycle that we just went out spent $5,000 on blows up in one day timing chain tensioners go out at 30,000 miles on these bikes like clockwork
LET'S FUCKING GOOOO

What bike are you on, I’ve been wanting to go but I ride a hawk 150, pretty much a crf150f, don’t know it’s it’s gonna be Andy fun on a trail bike
Thats a CRF250R, plenty of people go out with trail bikes and have a blast! I'd say go out and do it!

they're called Firestorms here - an equally stupid name. That road is starting to look fairly knackered btw. Wristy's worn it out innit.
I've got a question for you Superhawkers. I have a '98, and I absolutely love everything about the bike, however, the handlebars absolutely kill my hands. It puts so much of my upper body weight on the heels of my hands, its actually painful. There are lots of options for installing different bars, risers, etc, but in order to change the position enough to make them comfortable, the fairing either has to be removed or cut. I really don't want to cut it, as the Honda plastics are no longer made. The other option would be to remove the fairing, but this bike is funky looking as hell without the fairing. Though about polishing everything under the fairing, but I would still have to install another headlight assembly. There really is no easy solution. Do any of you have any thoughts on this subject?
I have the problem unconsciously putting too much weight on my hands when there is no need. Not sure if it's same for you. For me it helps trying to loosen my hands more often and sitting up straight when realizing.
Get wider clipons. The factory clipons are on the narrow side. That's the main reason for discomfort. You can buy after market clipons which are roughly 1 inch wider on both sides. They make the world of difference, and no fitment issues at all.
I didn’t know it was possible, but I think my body is somewhat acclimating to the riding position. It doesn’t seem quite as bad as before, still not Gold Wing comfort, but I think I can live with it…
@@jamesbottger5894 Get VFR 800 Clipons. I have those on my VTR and they make a world of difference. Also they`re straight bolt on without any mods.
You can add some shims (washers) at the mirror mounts for added clearance to the fairing, or you could carefully tweak the fairing mount arms to do the same thing.

Did you happen to get an answer or solve your issue? Any help would be much appreciated
@@fonz1anddone713Yes, my body actually acclimated to the seating position...
I rode with 3/4 inch risers for years and about five years ago I converted to a superbike bar which is much more comfortable and pretty well perfect. Together with the Double bubble screen works really well especially as I am almost 70 😎
i have the same symptoms
Don't know how you found it for only $870. I have a Suzuki GSF400 Bandit 1993, and everyone I meet says they want to buy it running or not, etc. CB1 is so similar and also in demand by those that know what they are. Kawasaki is finally bringing out a 4 cylinder 400 screamer now, but it's expensive. I'd love to put a CB1 next to my Bandit, but wife would likely be upset.... Have fun!
Really hoping i can pick your brain about this bike if i run into complications. I just picked up one of these a week or so ago and im doing a huge teardown/rebuild on it. Fun fact, i also live in ohio.
Have you replaced the factory camchain tensioner with the aftermarket manual camchain adjusters.?
The previous owner did it, so I've just kept em.
Just bought my 2005 VTR1000F for 2000$ couple days ago can't wait to drive it

Эх как я жду май чтоб завести свой VTR 1000f и кататься по живописным местам , и знойным пробкам Москвы 😊 Всем ровных дорог и здоровья
Nice to see a newish video oh the Hawk. I have the 2006 model and was wondering did you have to close the petcock on the bottom of the tank before removing it? Theres only info about the old model tank in the Haynes manual.
I did not, it has a vacuum petcock that seems to keep it pretty sealed up when the engine is off.
Seems to me that the engine braking on the Superhawk makes it a perfect fit for the Dragon. I noticed that nobody passed you....Hehehe
Hey dude, good job! I need your help.. I watched thru all 3 trying to look for the clue of my problem. 2 weeks ago, i accidentally fit the battery on opposite direction and swapped +ve and -ve pole causing sparks. Battery caput, change new battery fit opposite way again but no spark this time. Then called a friend and he was the who told me that i've fitted it on wrong connection. Then reconnect the pole on correct side but no power indication when switch on. I've checked the fuses but none of them show signs of burned. Havent take off the fairing yet seems i m not technical handy. Do you know what possibly had happened to my bike and advise me where to start to rectify it... :(
Which fuses did you check? I believe there is a main 30A fuse that is under the rear fairing near the R/R. That would probably be where I would look.
@@rbmotorsports6344 i'll get some pictures when i got home

I have an 06 STI with an EJ20X in Columbus, OH. Loved watching this video. I do a lot of Dragon trips. Would you ever be up for taking your STI to the Dragon?
I've taken it once already, I usually do a yearly trip to the dragon to ride motorcycles. I'd consider going again in the STI at some point though.
Nice smooth riding on a remarkably traffic free day. I had a firestorm and this is giving goose bumps galore!

I owned the same exact bike in the same color i bought new in 2005. I traded it for an FZ-09 in 2019 and I still miss it.
