Lee Crowe Now *that* I can agree with you on. Still, it's nice to speak with someone who actually worked on this film. Despite its flaws, "Cool World" is what introduced me to Ralph Bakshi. 😊
Ralph Bakshi has stated that once Frank Mancuso Jr. changed his script he punched in the mouth and he only got through the film by focusing on the animation.

The animation was good when the actors weren’t around.

Ralph Bakshi puchned Frank G. Mancuso Jr. in the mouth, after finding out he secretly re-wrote the script.
In this clip, mancuso looks like his neck bones are made out of rubber.
