He's just retiring the name
He’s retiring the name and instead going to be known as Abel Tesfaye.
Ngl tho I think he should just keep the name, “The Weeknd” cause that’s what he’s been known as since day 1, and it’s just such an iconic name. Instead he should just make the music he wants to make while still keeping “The Weeknd”
@@caphatfrog1464 well while Abel is pretty much buried himself in damn near almost each music video he's had I just feel as if he's burying the Weeknd for good and embracing himself
I think people will be surprised when they hear the material for the rest of the songs on the album. This album more so than any other includes themes and ideas that fit into all of time and that's why I think It'll be remembered for all of time as much as anybody's art can. Like that song Hold My Heart will be listened to for forever and ever
Abel never misses
If Abel really captured all of his past sounds or a blend of them here and there, literally would be perfect (because Timeless reminds me of Trilogy and BBTM).
I also think his first project will be named like “A New Day” or so thing similar under “Abel Tesfaye”

@@caphatfrog1464 I honestly don’t know. I believe it may still be part of Take It Easy. São Paulo might have been a placeholder name cause it was performed in Brazil
