Exactly what I was looking for. It is simple and that is the best part. I keep everything in a IKEA Box so good to know which box contains what. instantly. Very easy to find things when required
I've been on a search for an open source tool through out the years and have some extra time on my hands now to get my project started after seeing this video for the second time. The first I was just a little busy to implement in my house but I like your vids as they share my interest in home lab for learning but cool day to day.
I love how simplified this is, I might find a use for it, but it won't work for what I want though, I've been looking for a self-hosted inventory manager suited more towards tools/parts like capacitors, resistors, printer filament, etc... That sort of thing, maybe if there were a way of adding templates or something, but as it is, I'd have to add a bunch of custom fields for every entry, also photo previews and adding links are pretty helpful for this sort of thing. Snipe-it might work, however I did come across a few suggestions after this video that seem better, such as partkeepr, it has all the sort of fields I need preconfigured, although it has some minor issues/personal issues but is no longer developed and InvenTree which is a lot like Snipe-it but better IMO, it has those features I mentioned and a nicer UI, if anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to take a look.
1st Class find. Could you at some point do a video on volumes. I am not Linux, but I would like to have the data volume in "/home/mydata/datafiles" on the Ubuntu server on which Docker is running and which "datafiles" is a folder mounted from a Dell server running Hyper-v - I guess using SMB. and what does the last line do driver:local . Sorry to go off topic, but it is really a fantastic find you have
I encourage you to use the pause button or play the video at a slower speed. I'm not trying to be rude, but this is how I make videos. Lots of others have suggested that people use the pause button or play at a slower speed, so this isn't just me saying this.
Not sure if you respond but I need help 😣 I recently got a laptop and it’s configured under mx Linux…I accidentally deleted the only account that was set but it logged me out and every since I haven’t been able to get into it though I never set a new user or pw

This is great. I have installed several docker container in OMV 6 using your tutorial videos.
Great to hear!

I struggled setting up Snipe-IT on Docker/Compose. I then found a TurnKey Snipe-IT ISO which made the install incredibly simple.
This is great! Thanks for the share. I'm gonna get started immediately.
Have fun!

I've actually got InvenTree on my list of Docker containers to take a look at

Another great docker application to add to the list. Is there anything similar to manage and inventory tools for an advanced DIYer or a tool junkie ?
You might look at Snipe-IT
I just found out about InvenTree, it has photo previews, add links and similar to others attachments.
Thank you both for the suggestions
Love the simplicity of it. I don't have much, but I like to be organized! Could you move through the screens a little slower?

Thank you. No offense taken. @@DBTechYT
May I know if homebox can extract asset list report?
Thank you.

sounds like you might just need to reinstall mx linux
How do I turn off Register. How do I make an ADMIN account? Also is there a export for backup?
There is an option "HBOX_OPTIONS_ALLOW_REGISTRATION" which you can set to false in your docker compose file's environment section.
I like it. Will try this
:-)
Typo in title : Inventory
Good catch. Fixed it, thanks!
Nope still an typo error: inveNtory
@@christopherklein3829 "HomeBox: Your Home Inventory Simplified" I'm not sure what you are seeing, but that's what I'm seeing.
Yes now its fixed :) before there was the N missing
Weird. It must have been cached on their end since I changed it 5 hours ago when I made my comment to proadoeziu
Don't like the text on the screen. Once like in the into is nice grabs attention. Rest was too much
that's fair. was just trying something out
No way to export as a cav file
It's still in early development
This is related to netbox which is also open source and more simple
