They look brighter, indeed, and 12 mini is a great camera :) (actually so is 11) but where 13 really impressed me, is with details. 13 mini is also better at HDR krepiny Dark parts Dark, for more contrast, which makes the pictures look darker, especially here. You can adjust it with photographic styles though (so think I’ll do a short about them), and in general do more in post - which is perfect for my style, but for most people may not :)
I guess 12 mini look attractive but 13 mini has more details. There are filters in 13 mini which can change the photos to vibrant or warmer according to one's taste. so I can go with 13 mini.
@@duarted04 Hey I just bought iPhone 12 Mini on Wednesday and I have to say, I thought it would be too small but the size is perfect for my hands and I love how fast and beautiful the Phone is (I bought green) but the battery is mediocre but other than that the camera is amazing and just everything works flawlessly
I was surprised how capable 11 was in most situations, and liked 12’s colors, but remember that 13 mini has also photographic styles, which can change the color science, and can be handy ;)
It is! I was Very surprised in many situations, how good it helds. I still remember how I was blown away when 11 came out. 13 basically has bigger sensor and all the quirqs with it (which I am very happy about) but for everyday photos 11 still rocks. Only ultra wide is disappointing really
It’s very manageable. I’m coming from iPhone 11, and it has pretty old battery now, so 13 mini has much better battery. I managed to drain it quite fast when downloading and playing games for test, at max brightness (genshin impact, COD, LOL, PUBG and asphalt) and even then I had over 4h of sot. It actually lasted till 9pm that day. It also charges quite fast. I’d recommend to turn 5g off (use lte) and use dark mode ;) it’s good then
Oh, and btw here’s battery comparison with 12 mini. On WiFi, but shows the difference if you know how’s 12 minis battery ruclips.net/video/Qinj1N3TaKA/видео.html
hey thank for your video i wanted to ask a question so i want to buy the 12 mini or the 13mini and i'm not sure according to your compression video i find that the 12mini has better camera it looks more natural more warmer and i think even if the 13mini has more details and sharpness i think the 13 looks a bit over processed or kind of unreal i have noticed also that if there are strong colors in the photo so its taking them one step further and riches them up a bit more and also defined them in a strange software Processing way and then it looks not natural so from pink color you got more of a purplish color also i think the 13 mini if flattening the photo because of that wider sensors or whatever .... i'm not a professional i just see it so i'm really confused , do you think that the 13mini could have the same camera style as the 12mini with its temperature different modes ? could it be at the end that the iphone 12 mini camera is better than the 13mini what should i buy haawwww (: \ thanks
Thanks for this... I've come to the conclusion with iPhones lately is that it is best just not to use portrait mode. I prefer crisp photos with less computational stuff in it (real bokeh if possible).
12 mini has a little wormer tone. It likes to brighten scene a tiny bit. 13 mini is most true to life (and often boring 😅) but I guess it’s so toned down, because you can set photographic styles, for vibrancy etc. also 11 is on the opposite- it’s often too cold. Also 13 has quite impressive HDR.
As a iPhone SE user, I can barely see the difference between pictures from iPhone X and beyond. The differences are so minute, I don't understand when people go on and on about the camera improvements... The new features that the 12 and 13 bring such as Night Mode and Cinematic sound nice, but honestly they all seem to take pictures of the same quality. Don't see why anyone would use the cameras as a basis for upgrading anymore when the difference is no longer so dramatic.
I’d say iPhone 11 was a significant upgrade: ultra wide plus night mode are very useful things, on a daily basis. From then on it’s refinements really. Although with pro iPhones proRAW is a big deal, and now macro mode is also nice to have
For me ultra wide is a game changer. It's so much better for certain landscape shots/outdoors, and also for trying to photograph a whole room while inside it ( I fix houses so it's handy), or when trying to photo a large group of people. That said if you don't do that kind of thing very much, the se2020 still is solid for what it is. Hell, my old SE 2017 even took good shots
13 mini is better than 12 mini, but Apple still disappointed by putting off 48-ish MP and periscopic optical zoom off yet another year, meaning it’s still better to get a cheaper older phone or the bigger SE and a used point-and-shoot 20x optical zoom 20 MP camera -OR- a galaxy s21 ultra if one is okay with > 6” a “phone.” (Big ass pockets! 😂) 🤔 It’s tempting even though I even find the mini a bit long for full-screen needs.
i print as large as 16 x 20" in house. ( epson p900 and epson ultra premium luster paper ) i don't see any difference in sharpness that would be seen in printed photos. you keep saying how much better the 13 mini is, i don't see it. the colors can easily be adjusted in photos ( i use aperture and PS CS3 ) to be what you want and the tiny bit of better sharpness won't show up in actual prints. in low light the 13 does seem 1/2-2/3 stop better but with proper light, all 3 are realistically equal when printed. i printed a 16 x 20 of a landscape with my 12mp d3 and my 36mp d800. at 3 feet they looked identical. pixel peeping is not comparable to printing, inkjet drops just can't get that tiny, at least with < $5000 printers.
Hi where’s the location of your photo? It’s really beautiful place, greetings from indonesia🇮🇩, got my 13 mini 256 last month & this is my first flagship ever in 23 years of my life hh3
Do you mean camera comparison, or generał comparison? Because I really want to compare both phones, but honestly the only difference is battery (they both have the same camera system this year).
@@asefnehal626 if this helps, From What I know, 13 pro has better battery life than 12 pro Max. I’ll hopefully make a battery test for them, but not as soon as I’d like to :/
iPhone 12 mini is my favorite point-and-shoot. No filters needed. I enjoyed using it for one year. I upgraded to the iPhone 13 mini and the photo looks worse... it needs filtering, and fiddling around and adjusting... :/
I've heard some folks say that they dislike the fact that HDR cannot be turned off on the 13. Also I wonder if it's true that the 13 applies heavy sharpening, kind of like some Samsungs have done. Perhaps the 12 is more natural in some way? I'm currently on the fence of getting a 12-mini for only a hundred eighty bucks. ... Not sure if it's worth spending almost twice as much on a used 13 Mini.
The 13 mini is trash once you to about 6" from your subject where the 11 and 12 are great. With the 13 mini text is unreadable at that range. The whole pic is just a blurry mess. To be serviceable you have to take the pic from about 8" or more away and zoom after the fact which causes a loss of detail
Hmm, that happens but for me it’s a lens quirk - it’s even worse on 13 pro 😅 but I kinda like it, because this happens with really fast aperture. I also shoot old school film camera, so maybe that’s why I like this… But your point is very valid, after consideration. Without manual aperture lens should be able to have more of the photo in focus to be simply more practical - i.e. for shooting documents/notes/university slides.
@@BernardWalter what’s really bad is that I traded in my iPhone 11 for the 13 mini. I never dreamed that I would actually be getting a worse camera. I either have to return my mini or buy another camera.
:/ that’s bad. Good you’re pointing this out, will need to address this in the review. Worst part is I can’t think of solution. Ultra wide has better focus, but again - with loss of detail. My friends were using scanner apps whenever making pictures of text (often during lecture, even from back row) but this again seems like hustle and not really a solution (and doesn’t work with other instances). Is it possible to add this sharpness in photos app? When editing photo? Also try maybe Lightroom app, it’s great for shooting photos, because it has some manual control. It’s a shame, because otherwise mini has improvements everywhere else, from screen quality to performance and build :/

Which phone holder do you use?
hey thank for your video
i wanted to ask a question
so i want to buy the 12 mini or the 13mini and i'm not sure
according to your compression video i find that the 12mini has better camera it looks more natural more warmer and i think even if the 13mini has more details and sharpness i think the 13 looks a bit over processed or kind of unreal
i have noticed also that if there are strong colors in the photo so its taking them one step further and riches them up a bit more and also defined them in a strange software Processing way and then it looks not natural so from pink color you got more of a purplish color
also i think the 13 mini if flattening the photo because of that wider sensors or whatever ....
i'm not a professional i just see it
so i'm really confused , do you think that the 13mini could have the same camera style as the 12mini with its temperature different modes ?
could it be at the end that the iphone 12 mini camera is better than the 13mini
what should i buy haawwww (:
