Japanese engines are bulletproof, but sadly they rust pretty bad..My grandpa had a Mazda Premacy with a 2.0DITD diesel engine and he only opened the hood when doing an oil change..But it rusted badly..So bad that the shock absorbers popped up from their spot😂😂And we had to scrap it..
Not an interference engine... That was quite lucky.. First time a belt snapped in the channel wich is amazing considering how long some cars are parked... That belt would be probably some 30 years old
Wild creatures live on the mat!! Seriously, the thing that almost everything works with of water coming inside and even breaking the timing belt is amazing. This is probably the most impressive thing i seen on this channel. A car for the apocalypse.
man i love these Camrys. I had a 4 door Camry from that exact year with under 40.000kms and i miss it so much. It was stupid to sell it. For my opinion these cars look very good and they are comfortable with good reliable engines! But they also rust very good...
Amazing, but not surprised! I have an 88 LE sedan with only 113k that I drive on nice days 110 miles to work. Everything works including sunroof and tape deck.
my father had a same camry, same color, same body, just with the diesel engine. he has it like 19 years, and he put in it more than 500k km's. i grove up in that car and i loed it so much. sadly he has to sell it to africa because of the rust. i miss this car so much
Very nice. Wife had an 88 Camry sedan as well as her first car. That car was indestructible until it was rear ended, and ultimately junked. Would've probably still been with us up to this day had it not been hit/scrapped. Miss that car!
I think, I saw this car, when I was a kid, but there were not many of them in Austria. But it is a really great car. And really fantastic work, Flexiny, as always.
You can always Depend on a Toyota 😁 Toyota's have got to be one of if not the most reliable and solid cars in the world, they can live forever if well looked after.
Gotta love these vids. No one adds oil if there’s just enough, no actual coolant - only water - is dumped in the radiator. It’s not worth it, of course, because even if the vehicle is “running” it all proves why the thing was left to rot.
Toyota Camry. This model was very popular in Poland in the 1980s. This model was available in Poland for North American dollars and other convertible currencies and Pekao SA bank bills.
Really? How did they getup Toyota Camry’s into Poland during the PRL times? Must have imported them from West Germany, France or the Netherlands? This car would have been really exotic looking amongst the Polonez & Polski Fiat 650 ( Maluch) cars? I. Sure parts would have been a challenge to get in as well?
@@paulsz6194Toyota Camry and Corolla were available for foreign currencies, and Pekao bank vouchers have been available since the 1980s. There were a lot of these cars back then, of course mainly in large, wealthy cities. There were no such cars in the villages. In rich villages and towns, yes, rich farmers, gardeners and orchardists had Western cars, bought through the Pekao SA bank or privately imported, imported as resettlement property, bought by people working and leaving for the West.

I remember those, they called them "Cressida" here. Toyota Cressida. And the Camry was a separate model. I don't know why car companies do that around the world. 🤷♂️ Excellent job getting her running....too bad about the radiator though. I've heard if you put a raw egg in it, it stops leaks for just a short time. 😊
*В таких моментах всегда вспоминаю мультфильм "Отважный маленький тостер". :) Про то, как старые вещи отважно искали своего хозяина. Они словно кричат: "Эй, мы ещё живы. Возьмите нас к себе."*
I've always wondered when you snap cambelt from one of your findings, now it happened. Glad that the engine survived that. Maybe next time you wanna check the condition of those before revving engine up too much haha
Toyota Camry they last forever needs windshield as possible stick shift four cylinder air tires the engine is good condition can't kill them best mechanic in the world
What a gem... these 80's Camrys have completely disappeared, not that they were really widly spreaded in Europe which is especially true for the station wagon. And look at the windscreen; brighter as new 🤣
This iş A Camry Station Wagon that is not sold in Japan . Thank you for showing Me something Good! See on Camry University, mida jaapanis ei müüda. Altah, et naitasid mulle midagie head!
My dad had one of these for 15 years and 250,000 miles. Unfortunately, it got hail damage after only a year, but the interior and mechanicals were practically indestructible.
just casually adds a new cam belt like it's no problem at all. brilliant.
Good old Japanese car with very strong and reliable gasoline engine! Old Japanese gasoline cars never die!
yep thats right
Yes!
Never

More impressive maybe is how fast on the spot that timing belt was replaced.
I'm impressed that belt ran at all.
I love this generation Camry. They were very popular in Australia, and thanks to our climate, there are still quite a few on the road 30+ years later.
Yes you’re very lucky, most of them were destroyed in Canada!
mother had a 91 Camry when i was a kid and that thing was a rock for our family for years!
I worked at Toyota when these were sold. Great little cars.

Love Or Hate Toyota but their engines are just god tier.
Same with honda
It is one of the easiest start-ups after a decade of parking.
The engine runs smoothly, does not hesitate, starts quickly, holds idle speed
Camry never dies
Yes it’s true!
Understatement

Wow camry showing once more how it can run forever! you guys are the best at reviving dead vehicles!! my favorite channel !!!
Big fan from Mexico!
Thing I like about Flexiny, is that he goes through all the lights and accessories like he's trying to sell you on the thing.
Родной 3S-FE мотор, самый надежный и неприхотливый. Нисколько не сомневался что он сразу поедет! А ремень там походу еще с завода не меняли)))

The second and third generation Camrys are among the greatest cars ever made. I hope to see this one looking like new again, however long it takes.
ol' gal was probably so happy someone was working on her.
Top of the range! Chrome handles, 4x elec windows, sunroof, bucket seats, tacho, leather wrapped wheel and much more!

Классная тачка. Настоящий японский авто. Нынешние поделки - отдыхают.
About a year ago I found a 96 Tacoma 4 cyl standard ext.cab 2wd. I plan on driving it the rest of my life!
Ahh my first car was -87, bought it for 300€ with full tank of gas and drove it over 100k km until it was too rusty.
Toutes ces voitures me manquent, c'était la bonne époque.
The legendary 3S-FE engine running again 👍
Amazing, but not surprised! I have an 88 LE sedan with only 113k that I drive on nice days 110 miles to work. Everything works including sunroof and tape deck.
Toyota é tanque de guerra. Que bom não ter empenado válvulas do cabeçote quando quebrou a correia dentada. Parabéns pelo canal
O canal deles realmente é muito bom
🙂🤪

Driving towards the sunset/sunrise with the broken timing belt hanging from the sun visor like some sort of trophy. Nice. 😄

Amazing. Sat out in the wild for 16 years without a windsreen and most of the interior still works.
I found an old Camry sitting in my area, I had an idea of getting it to run
These cars were solid vehicles in their day.
