I've noticed lately the ones that are demonizing fruit are the people on carnavore diet. Don't get me wrong I love meat like a lot however I believe we are meant to eat a whole foods diet not high processed package food. It's like a you have your hard core vegans on one end and meat only on the other when in reality we should be right in the middle.
Actually both the plant based and meat based dieters have something in common and that is NO HIGHLY PROCESSED FOODS. It makes both groups a healthy option.
Fruit and vegetables have been a part of the human diet for as long as meat has. Both plant and animal foods have their place in a natural, nutritious diet. Instead of insisting on just one or the other, people should appreciate the luxury of having ready access to such a wide assortment of nutrient-rich whole foods, year-round---something our ancestors had to make do without.
Please go out into nature and find a broccoli plant or a brussel sprout plant or any vegetable plant for that matter. You can't. Why do you not understand that? Birds can strip a fruit tree in a morning before you're awake!
MEAT EATERS ARE THE ONES THAT EAT MOSTLY PROCESSED FOODS ALONG W/ THEIR MEAT... AND EVEN PROCESSED MEAT- HOT DOGS, BACON, HAMBURGERS, AND ALL THE CANNED MEATS.😉 🌺☮️💟🌺
Thank u Doctor Li ur truly a life saver. I was very confuse to eat or not eat certain fruits. And i love the way you say " im not talking as a doctor its a common sense"❤ GODBLESS YOU MORE DOC! more info pls😊
I grow plums and apples as well as a large variety of berries. Impossible not to eat!! I do dry and freeze dry. Since I started intermittent fasting, I tend to eat my fruit at the end of a meal. Perfect sweetness!
I think "frozen" should be more emphasized in this nice review of basic nutrition. Canned fruit is often loaded with simple sugars. Remember; we're always shooting for a factor of less than 5 units of sugar for each unit of fiber.
Dr. Li, you are so charming in the way you deliver these awesome and informative facts to us!! Clarifying the debate on if fruit Is ok or not! I now happily enjoy fruit every day and know and trust it’s doing wonderful things for the better health of my body! God bless you in your work!!! 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Hello Dr. Li, thank you for this information in regards to Fruits, lately I have been confused o whether eat keep eating fruits or not. My question is, When is the best time to eat fruit?
Hey Doc, my blood sugar is very low. What kind of food or healthy food that can bring up my blood sugar. I am careful about my food choice--Love fruits and veggies--Thanks
Dr Li, would you please talk about insulin production in the body, insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance, particularly with spikes that may come from eating fresh fruit? I am carnivore with some keto included, a female over 60 and extremely healthy in Australia who’s on no meds whatsoever. It’s winter and the fresh whole oranges are lovely right now.
Our body does not need processed sugar What is in fruits is enough. Some of them contain a lot in any case, what our body needs can be produced from carbohydrates. If I'm not wrong.😊
Domesticated fruit crops contain much more sugar than wild fruits. I can only eat half a whole fruit at a meal. Loved when I used to forage the edges of my home farm. Granddad had planted wild plum on our property line, there were wild grapes, chokecherries, elderberries, and mulberry trees!
That's only for people with diabetes. As far as sugar goes in a diabetic sugar is sugar. But fruit has so much more for the body over candy. Fiber, enzymes, phytonutrients, and probably more I'm not aware of.
I use canned fruit with no added sugar. If it doesn’t taste sweet enough…as some fruits can canned can seem almost sour or bitter…I use a bit of stevia to sweeten it. Stevia is a natural sweetner not harmful to the body systems. I have teeth problems so I can’t often attack all fresh fruits. Wonder what this doctor thinks about canned fruit with no added sugar?
Yeah Bec they said it’s also very sweet I have a friend just told just eat lemon the safest fruits hays, it’s very confusing maybe eat fruits in moderation all in moderation is ok I think 😊
Thank you Dr. Li, there is an individual heavy pushing a certain keto clean plan that is stating no fruit, but only basically blueberries...keto is not for me and I learned the hard way. Thank you for explaining all this in a simply way. PS. when you say whole orange, do yiu mean the peel as well?
I've been wondering about cranberries. I hear they are great for CKD. The dried cranberries in the grocery store all seem to be coated with sugar. Most cranberry juice is reconstituted from concentrate. Does cranberry juice made from concentrate still have value? What about the mixed cranberry juices, like cranberry/pomegranite?
What about dates and apricots ? I’ve read that they have fructose and it it’s chlorogenic actions at harmful to the liver ? But Dr Li and Anthony Williams the medical medium say. It is good for the liver ? So I am confused. What about dried fruit
A question. I have heard you speak of a two week protocol to reprogram the liver to produce sugar and glucose in the measure we need. Could you please explain that protocol?
Hi Dr. Li... please Please Sir. Could U - please Share W/ Me , your honest opinion On What U - feel Would be the best "Herbs for Curing High BP" please help Me Doc.. please Please respond 2 - this Question.... please Please, thanks again!
In Los Angeles, the so called farmers who live in the city pull their produce from the same crates as the supermarkets. I have never seen the word organic on those boxes, though they will swear that it is after they hide their crates. I can't trust their word at all. I trust the major chain's word better since they have big pockets and can be sued. Meanwhile it is best to treat all produce as treated unless you have real farmers and actual seasonal crops at your market.
who dont understand this issue ? you have google. you have books, who doesnt understand that normal fruits is better than a candy made from a factorty ? i ask again , who!!!!! who dont get that ? il give up
You do realize that apples and oranges are not winter fruits - they ripen in other seasons. Maybe there might be a missing "link" to this and health. I just wanted to mention that.
I know that instead of sugar body and brain needs fat... so instead of increasing glysemic index ( only berries are acceptables) with a KMD (keto Mediterranean diet) we keep us healthy !!!
You are a super Doc. clearing fundamental questions bothering humans all the time.

No, it's not. But, with some fruits some carefulness in quantity is necessary.
Speaking of fruit, have you looked into Apeel? What does it do to the nutrition value of the fruit, and is it worth avoiding?
Whole lemon, peel and all. Much lower sugar/glycemic index. High polyphenol content, helps raise your stomach acid. Better than eating an orange.
Ruby Red grapefruit
Now companies (like appeal) are putting toxic coatings on lemons now. Check the label. Even organic lemons have it.
Thank you for clearing things up❤️

I love fruits, Thank you Dr. Li for sharing your knowledge to us
Love my dried fruits with rooibos/herbal/pu erh mix homemade tea - no added honey or sugar.
Many people don't comprehend this. Actually had someone once comment you may as well eat a candy bar if you're gonna eat fresh fruit.😳
I often heard that bread was like eating a candy bar, but never fruit.
Just crazy… 😮
@@MarioTheGoose It is.
Not very much corn syrup in fruit.

I love watching g your progr. I have a concern about the pesticides on the fruit I love fruit
One’s body needs carbohydrates not necessarily sugar. I heard of people developing diabetes from drinking too many fruit smoothies everyday.
That's exactly what the doctor said' eat the whole fruit, avoid the fruit juices'
@@rachelgilbert3617I put 1/3 cranberry juice with my 2/3 lemon water 👍

Thank you very much for clarifying. Many still don't recommend fruits. Wish they so saying that.

Have you talked with Dr Doug Graham? A raw fooder of over 40 years) a competitive power lifer at 73
Doctor, im 65 five years old and i have pre diabetes. My doctor didn’t give me any medication my question is is that too late for me to reverse it ?
Can you please discuss Diabetic Neuropathy?
Thanks Dr. Li! If you are going to use a sweetener, is it better to use honey or maple syrup rather than refined white sugar?
I don't know the answer but honey & maple syrup contain a wealth of nutrients whereas sugar does not.
@@versewriter8123 Indeed! I suppose they’re probably better from a nutritional perspective but about equal in terms of blood sugar…

All processes and ultra processed food have sugar, including fruits. You just have to be liberal or cut out the processed foods

I am LOVING your glasses😊

Fruit on its own or with other food?
PS- I have purchased your books & love them.
What if you’re diabetic?
Ask your local farmer if he sprays with pesticides and other chemicals.

Many diabetics are healing on fruit, or high fruit diets ! with me, I like less, esp grapefruit, kiwi.
Ty
ohh it is not 8 oranges that you need for 1 glass of orange, with 2 oranges you have a 1 glass of jucie
Thanks Dr Li's advice😂
