Have used the Spyderco Triangle sharpening system for 30 years with no issues. This system is similar just reverse. It has the added benefit of variable angles. I am sold on getting one of these.
I got the earlier Guided Sharpening System recently and this was easy to learn and get a very sharp blade, the tilting table guarantees base to tip consistency This is designed to give a secondary bezel of 25° with the ceramic rod. The quality of the product is very good and I have no problem recommending these sharpeners.
Sharpening guides are interchangeable between the Benchstone and the Whetstone. Current available angle guides are 15, 17, 20, and 25 degrees. More will be available in the future.
Have never purchased a Worksharp product before but I think that is going to change after watching this video! When is that wetstone sharpener going to be available? Can't wait to get my hands on one!
Learning a lot through this series. Great to hear directly from the manufacturers. Thanks DCA and team for putting these together. And finally realized at 32:03 that it is in fact a dog back there.
Also I use the guided sharpening system. It’s a great system. Good price, high quality abrasives. I’d like to see some CBN options with continuous abrasives. Can’t wait to try to the whetstone.
Well I have the Ken onion belt system and the first pivot system and I really like both for different reasons I will try the whetstone all so and I really like his EDC crooked river I saw him checking the ber .
If you want tocapture the market for whetstone sharpening, put a pivot systemin your holder and you will have something unique that helps people sharpen with a whetstone. How hard could that be???
ok so I have a lot of sharpening systems and it kinda feels like work sharp is always forcing a convex edge or secondary bevel on me. and I don't like it. just my opinion
Hello WorkSharp! Hey, I admit that I have brown thumbs and can't grow anything, plus which I'm not as flexible as I one was and "can make any knife more dull when I try to sharpen a knife by hand"!!!☹ Oh btw, I got the new K.O. angle you showed, and unless I missed it (which is possible), the instructions weren't clear on how to do those "mid angles" (17.5, 22.5 etc.)!!!🤨 I now wish I'd gotten the one that tilts so I wouldn't have to do the adjusting!!!🙄 I've been using your field for years but stopped when I realized that "all knife makers don't use the same angles".🤯😖 It should be a law "that the angle degree is on the blade or that they're made to make all knives with ONLY one angle"!!!🤔🤨 Whichever is best "for those who sharpen them!!!🙏🏻 Plus which, "you (W.S.) would include w/your sharpeners an indestructible ANGLE FINDER"!!!🤔 ONE OR THE OTHER, period!!! Thanks, take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏😇👊
Good morning Randy! For the mid angles, you move only one leg of the V-rods to the next slot, splitting the difference between the two angles marked on the base.
@@knifecenter Thanks, only now how's the best way to find which angle all of these different knives are ground at? I've seen pictures of the round metal guide, but those are always sold out, then there's the small digital angle finder (2×2ish), but I've no clue! Thanks, sincerely Randy. 👍👍🙏😇👊
@@randyscj429 Color the bevel of your blade with a sharpie. Then set your angle set at 15 Degrees and make 2-3 passes on the ceramic. Then inspect the bevel. If the sharpie is removed on the whole bevel you're knife is around 15 degrees. If it only takes off the sharpie at the top of the bevel and not the cutting edge then drop down to 17.5 degrees, repeat the process but no need to recolor the bevel with the sharpie. Make a few more strokes and inspect. Repeat until you find the angle that removes the sharpie across the whole bevel. This is the closest angle to how your knife was sharpened. Really appreciate Worksharp replying to a lot of the comments on here, shows that they are interested in what customers have to say.
LOL I like to think the robot he mention at 23:00 with a lot of arms to sharpening knife look like the General Grievous but without lightsaber
You gotta love Work Sharp! Very innovative company, producing quality products that really perform, and don't break the bank in the process!

I would like to see there's more different angle guides for the sharpening stone

Well done, Josh. Same to you, Mr. Anderson.

What makes the new bench stone compared to the guided sharpener better? Still buying the bench stone tho
The tilt feature
The guided sharpener also has the tilt feature
I have the ken onion belt sander already but I'm gonna have to get my hands on that new whetstone of yours!
I really enjoyed this. I think I may be a sharpening nerd.
acceptance is the first step
@@WorkSharpOutdoor we admitted we were powerless over sharpening and our lives were unmanageable. Now where's the donuts and coffee?
Me too man me too
I, and I believe a large portion of people as well, want an angle guided system with a very low angle option like 10dps for reprofiling

Interesting products for sure.
I toured the 3M technology center once and I can totally agree about the freaky experience about seeing a robot wielding a knife.....
Make your ceramic plates usable on all three systems, guided field sharpener, benchstone sharpener, and guided system sharpener.

Putstroneger magnets in the Ken Onion triangle sharpener.
Make the strop removable on the guided field sharpener so it can be kept clean and free of diamond dust.
magnets on things that will have metal fillings.. thats gonna be fun to clean...
Its not going to compete. Wow honesty from a company. I can get on board with that kind of acumen
Try putting pivot system in yiyr wetstone sharpener.
I want the benchstone with the wetstone guides.

Great co.
What's the grit on those fine ceramic?
Ceramic is not measured in grit, it's stone density. Its roughly equivalent to 5000.
What knife was he demo-ing with?
Benchmade Mini Crooked River for the Pocket Knife. Anvil and Hammer Chef's knife. Both great knives.
@@WorkSharpOutdoor thanks very much matey.
Ohh those magnet will be covered in metal filings
Really 25 degrees knives all at 17
Wicked edge is easier and better just expensive
Wicked Edge makes a great tool! I hope we get to hear from Clay in this series.
Stones......
Definitely don’t come out with a “me too” product.
Still want it to click in
