Hey Zach…sorry to hear you’re having so many issues with your ‘19 X3 M40i. I have a ‘23…that lane assist feature was turned off as soon as I got home from the dealer day one. I did take a while to find a comfortable driving position, but I appreciate that I was able to customize mine after fiddling around for weeks. My car is most likely too new and/or all those problems have been corrected…I’m loving the software updates through my IPhone and then to the car. ☮️
The heated seat issue could be as simple as a loose or unplugged wire in the seat. We had a 5 series where the back seats heat wouldn’t work and it was literally just unplugged. Over time the plug worked its way loose.
cruise control doesn't do that, and the lane assist it's easy to set it off.. carplay work from the first second before I even start the car.. easy connection ever , best carplay that I see in a car that works perfect with voice command for SIRI , your heated seat is probably bad or burned and it stops automatically so you don't put your car on fire..
I’m glad you’re loving your X3 so far! I bet most of my problems are mainly software based. So the updated software after the 2020 MY could fix a lot of it. And with the electronic issues, it doesn’t help that I have close to 130k miles on mine 😂
Can you do a highway MPG test where you top off reset the trip and top off again and divide the gallons to miles driving on the highway with cruise doing 70 all the way
No real issues with car play in my 2019. Sometimes it's laggy to connect initially but 99% of the time it's great. The biggest issue with infotainment is no full screen carplay. The right side is pointless but I plan to do a bimmercode to change it.
I thought the same thing, until I accidently found out it was customizable lol now I just use it as the compass which tells me whatever street I'm on. I actually like it lol
Thank god i have a Android lol. Are the rest of Electronics ok ? Far as what u need. Heat ans AC and starting system? I definitely ginna get a 2019 or 2020. Yeah looking to spend around 27k to 30K
Thanks for the video! Just bought a fully loaded one in sunstone metalic from Sweeden. It's still in the shop, but will pick it up next week. Hope the issues won't be present tho 😅
Hey @ZachEgbert, great video! Can you comment on the comfort of the front seats in this M40i? I'm seeing lots of complaints about the apparent lack of padding and poor lumbar support. Thanks!
Hi! I’ve never had issues with the car’s comfort! I think it’s really comfortable personally. I’ve taken the car on 14+ hour long road trips and never had any complaints.
I’m switching to the x3M next year I currently have 2018 stinger gt is fbo and tuned and I’m at 110k miles with no issues , my wife has a m440i and is making me switch to the dark side
We welcome you with open arms 😎 I actually was looking at a stinger GT2 when I found the X3 M40i. And I found the m40i just felt so much faster and it was more practical, and so far has been dead reliable (minus the little electrical bugs all BMW’s get). I think you’ll love the X3M!
Thanks for giving the video a chance! It’s an amazing car! But nothing is perfect and there’s always little things to complain about. But I don’t regret buying this car at all. I’d do it again for sure
My jaw dropped too when I got quoted that. The parts lady was so unfazed by that quote 😂 but you can find them a lot cheaper slightly used on EBay. You’ll probably just have to pay BMW a few hundred bucks to program the lights to the car.
@@ZachEgbert lol whoever gave u that quote is on crack at most 3k and you can recode them youself theres multiple diffrent software options out there to do so
For adaptive headlights you must put it on auto mode headlight first. Then you can use adaptive headlight
He said it stopped working. So I’m sure he knows how his car he’s owned for years works

80,000 miles and still didn't figure out how to set up the car features properly...
These are not common problems. Somethings going on with your electrical and sensors IMO.
I don’t have these issues and haven’t read much about them.
Still love my 2018 man. Put a stage 2 on it. Absolutely love it

I’ll have to check that! Thanks for letting me know!
Ok my CarPlay is seemless. Never an issue. My cruise control doesn’t slow like that. Front pads 200$ and rotates are 200$ each. Rear are way cheaper.
You need to update software and apple car play and seat heater will work fine

Hhhmm… I have a 2021 G01 and the issues you are referencing are not present. I have 23k miles on my X3 M40i and still loving it.

I also have a 2021 in sunstone metallic. Only seen 1 other one on the road in the past 6 months
You shouldn’t have issues with lane control or cruise control. I have none of those issues and I live in a rather hilly area.
snow build up on a SUV is kinda a big oversight, SUVs are for winter
Got my head fizzy by shaking camera LOL! Thanks for video Great car!
Those Idaho winters got my hands shaking! 🥶😂 I do try to do better about that. Definitely something I’m improving on. Thanks for watching!
What lip is that

11k or 1,100 for headlights ?
$11,000! 😅
@@ZachEgbert 🤯
That shop that charged you $11k for even both headlights robbed you blind
I didn’t pay it! And it was BMW themselves that quoted me that price
@@ZachEgbert plenty of sets on ebay under 2k

Stop playing with your hair and ending sentences with upward inflection. Otherwise, a decent review.
Trust me, I cut my hair since then so it won’t be in my face so much. I know I do it way too much 😂 I appreciate the feedback!
I was ready to hate on your hate video. After watching, I mostly agree with you. I’ve owned this car for 5 years now and love it.

great video !
Great work bro
Thank you! 🙏🏼
If I buy one I will sell it before the warranty ends.
11 thousand for the headlights?! Wtfffffff!
