I like everything but the bread. It's so hard and crusty. And it's not just Jersey Mikes - all the sub places (subway, firehouse, et all) seem to love using hard, crusty sub rolls. I hate them. Schmitt's bakery used to deliver the softest sub rolls to a place near me called Tropical Treat in Northern MD, who had the BEST cheeseburger subs using those soft sub rolls. They also had a Gorf coin-op video game, so we're talking a long time ago. But surely someone out there must have soft sub rolls today.

I totally agree -- it's all alleged -- absolutely no proof. And what's wrong with David's cookies? As for using Sysco vinegar, that's fine with me (I own Sysco stock). And for what it's worth, I must have a dozen Italian deli's within a mile of my house -- but I still think Jersey Mike's is better than all of them.

Many “boutique” sub shops use day-old bread for toasted subs because day-old bread toasts better. They don’t do that to use-up unused fresh bread, which they seldom have. It actually takes more effort to run both a fresh bread and a day-old bread inventory system.

Needless to say, the last one had one half the ingredients that the last 3 had. $18 for a $10 sub was too much for me to be cheated like that , so I wanted to go back and complain but it was a few towns away and my wife said let's not and get back at them by word of mouth and our own boycott. Well that didn't seem to work so we hung the receipt on the fridge and look at it every so often to see how people take advantage of hard working families. I just got Jersey Mike's on Saturday and I always get hot subs and for some reason to me it seemed not as good as usual, the bread didn't seem right and that might be it, the bread might not have been fresh. Also I will note that is the first time ever the owner was not there and also the kids working there decided to blast the music as loud as humanly possible. Overall though it's a good chain.

I don't know what these people are talking about. I've been getting sandwiches there for years, in a few states. Never had a bad sandwich. I usually don't get oil on my sandwich, but rather not have 100% olive oil...not a fan of the flavor. I like extra vinegar. With millions buying them, doesn't seem like that many problems. Restaurants will use day old bread because it is wasteful to toss it. Will use for a different dish that it doesn't matter. Who doesn't do that at home, too.
To each their own, no matter where you eat. I've had bad meals at some top restaurants and have complained and gotten a replacement.

I’ve had a few issues with JMs here and there, but it was over rude employees and missing Shore Points, nothing to do with the food. My biggest criticism of the chain is rare, almost pointless coupons good for like two days windows of time. That’s it. The food is simply “sandwich crack” as one person I knew called it. So much to tear apart in this video, but it’s not worth the time. FAIL!

Jersey Mikes is better than Subway and Togo's! I have never had any issues with their bread or ingredients. I not only make the fifteen minute drive home and my large sandwich is fine. I also save half of my sandwich for the next day and it too is fine.

Damn you for putting Danny Devito in the commercials. The bread could be made of horse crap And I would still eat it because of him.

Sandwiches are so easy to make. Why doesn’t everyone just save money and make them at home instead of paying an arm and a leg to these companies 🤔

Now do Subway. If you actually expose all the dirt on that horrific excuse of a sandwich, the video would probably be 2 hours long.

Jersey Mike's razed their prices making their food not worth it. Subway razed their prices and reduce the amount of meat on a cold cut, a double hit. Scratch Subway. Making my own subs seems the only way at this time. The first time I made some subs, my two sons said outstanding pop. Problem solved.

Interesting. At our 4 shops here in central Ohio, none of these concerns are real. Maybe you should go to the shop yourself instead of relying upon “alleged employees” or “other unknown sources.” You just be desperate for $$ to make up such hocum.

I ended up with a hot chicken philly in a to go order by mistake (I had ordered a steak philly). After driving 15 miles back home is when I discovered the mistake. I figured wth and I tried it anyways. I had never had a worse tasting bite of anything in my 65 years than that bite. We have outside cats that patrol the property close to the house for field mice and snakes. They are quite proficient at their jobs. I dumped the sandwich in a bowl in the kitchen and then tore up the bread in small pieces and took it outside to put in their feed bowl. Like cats do (9 of them) they scurried over to see what treat they were getting. They sniffed the sandwich and some of them looked up at me like "what is this?" A few grabbed some pieces and took small bites and then walked away. The possum ate what was basically the whole remaining sandwich later that evening. The cats that eat wildlife wouldn't eat the sandwich.
