Welcome to my channel, where creativity meets automotive magic! In this DIY tutorial, I will show you how to create mind-blowing flames using LiMELiNE Eighth inch tape, available on Amazon.
But hold your horses, we're not just sticking tape here! We'll begin with a horseshoe shape design at the center and build from there, creating flames that will make your ride sizzle. And remember, no need to pull on the tape so hard, we don't want any tape tantrums!
To give our flames that edge, we'll mask off the background with 2-inch semi-transparent tape, making sure they stand out like the stars of the show. Then, it's time to bring in the bling! I'll be using LiMELiNE silver basecoat powder mixed into Clear basecoat and reducer. Spray it on those flame edges, and watch them come to life!
But wait, there's more! We'll add another layer of LiMELiNE tape on the silver, following the edge like they're best buddies. And for that extra pizzazz, I'll blackout the flame's center, creating a marbleized effect. How, you ask? Well, with a piece of SRAM wrap and that same silver metal flake base color, we'll stamp some texture onto the black basecoat. It's like painting with style!
Now, let's spice things up with some green candy but not for your taste buds, for your eyes! I'll mix LiMELiNE candy concentrates, combining gold and blue to create the perfect shade of green. We'll tint the silver basecoat with this delectable mix, and a touch of extra gold candy in the center for that smooth fade.
Once we've unleashed these fiery flames, it's time to give them depth and 3D vibes. How? By adding drop shadows to the background using LiME LiNE black candy. Look out, it's about to get real!
To seal the deal, I'll apply three coats of LiMELiNE premium 2K clearcoat, ensuring our masterpiece stays vibrant and protected.

Adam, get some vinyl application tape to mask over those taped out flames instead of using 2" masking tape...Comes in widths up to 36" wide and has less tack than masking tape which takes the worry out of peeling up any previously applied paint....There is even a clear version that works great for covering over artwork letting you see it when cutting thru

The end result looks shiny and sparkly, how did you do this? Was it with a metal flake additive in the final clear coat layer?

Adam thanks for the videos they are so helpful to us that are just beginning. Question for you regarding the glass flake, is there a benefit to putting it down prior to the metal flake before painting candies over the top? I know this isn't used in this video sorry.

Metal flake creates texture so you have to apply it first so you can smooth it out

Yes, the metal flake creates a lot of texture. You need to smooth it out with clearcoat before adding the candies.

So there is a benefit in look and detail by Appling the crushed glass flake and clear coat prior to the metal flake followed by 3 or 4 coats of clear?

What was your purpose for spraying the white coat before laying the lime green tape and applying the black.

Thanks for your videos. I want to paint my motorcycle. I have a question.
When you sad 2 or 3 coat.
Between coats. What I do with the spray gun. Set a side and wait 5 to 10 min and continue ( I'll dry inside ? ) or empty the gun and shoot some thinner?
