- This video finishes up the budget LS swap saga. It is very information heavy, there is a lot of talking, you have been warned. We go from basically an engine and transmission sitting in the chassis to a fully functioning truck. I hope to show in this video that, you dont need a lot of money to have fun with cars.
That basically hown8 built the exhaust for my 5.3 swap in my s10. Took a bunch of scraps and welded them together. I did my crossover under the bellhousing instead of behind the transmission.
Right on, it was pretty time consuming but, I'm very pleased with how the exhaust turned out. The video doesn't do justice on how good it sounds. Thanks for watching the video.
Awesome job! I have to save this video as I would like to do this swap in my 95 s10.
Mine has the 2.2 and a 5speed. So I will need a rear axle as well as the transmission( I would like to keep the manual)
Very methodical and informative video!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for giving it a watch.
@@TheBackyardTech You had a whole vehicle to remove the engine, Transmission, ECU, and Harness right?
Correct. I used a complete 2001 Silverado to utilize all of its parts.
Quality content brother. Subscribed. Always interesting to see how others have solved problems on their swap. Feel free to check mine out
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed. I will. Thanks for watching.
What did you do about the transmission dipstick tube? I am trying to get rid of this flexible firewall mounted one on my truck.
It's the stock dipstick and tube. I did have to manipulate it slightly. I also cut away a small ridge on the heater box just to keep it from rubbing.
ok thanks for the information. Truck looks good.
No worries. Thank you. Thanks for watching the video.
