I came across this song on instagram & i got goosebumps, cried and felt like i heard it hundreds of times. I was born in 1984 and my mom listened to it all the time while she was pregnant with me.
A friend invited me to a Hall and Oates concert, tickets were on her. I was “I guess...” it ended up being one of my top ten concerts! And I have been to ALOT of concerts!! But it was all acoustic and really showed off their talent. I was blown away!!
I love these guys. I never understood hating on a genre. Mostly, I'm into metal, but I like all genres, I love these guys as much as Slayer, Pantera or even something punk like Descendants or G.G. Allen. Ever since the internet, there is so much world wide exposure to every type or genre of music, there is no isolated segregation for any community to evolve any new scenes to become a completely new genre. These guys are just as awesome as any other band in any other genre, just the talent and passion make quality.
Great vibes, melodies and singing. I miss real music even if classified as popular music. No autotune, singing in multiple octaves/ranges, complex melodies and progression, no arrogance/showing off or no hatred but just some great vibes. I should maybe quit gaming and find some local musician. I could quit ass in no time especially nowadays.
Excellent performing!!! Hall & Oats with such an awesome friends and fantastic musicians… I absolutely Love Them! May T Bone be Resting Easy Well in the Eternal Lights 🙏🏼 He was Brilliant…
Man that is a jam...its my fav version of this song by far...I bought this DVD when it came out. I believe this was on A&E. I love that T-Bone absolutley jams out on that solo at the end...He is a bassist by trade but could play many other instruments including the accordion!! Daryl and John called him the unofficial 3rd member of Hall and Oats. RIP Tom "T-Bone" Wolk you were a wonderful musician and loved by everyone who knew you
went to 02 last night to watch hall and oates, boy these guys are good, what a voice daryl has been blessed with, if you get a chance to see them you won't be disappointed
Obviously, Daryl Hall and John Oates are like Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. Besides, the smirk on Oates' face at the 2:00 looks alike Donald Trump's ruclips.net/video/cnwKEsNrAyE/видео.html
es fantastica la version en acustico sin duda de los mejores grupos de los 80s felicidades its fantastic the acustic version is the best group of the 80's congratulations
This was from A&E's live by request. Find it on DVD, comes with CD also, it's simply called Hall & Oates Live in Concert. TBone Wolk was an amazing guitar player. watch his solo on this: notice how far he's playing up the frets and do you also notice this isn't even a cutout guitar? Rest in Peace man. I'll never forget this performance.
we are all out of touch.............if we see us...the ones trying to hold on to what was.........the past we can never hold again........the memories we remember ...........that were us...the part of us we can never have again...........THE OUTTA TOUCH WE REMEMBER THAT WAS US....WE WANT ........BACK........THE WE ... WE ....WERE..... the fun lo v e was …...
@getyerkix - I second that emotion!! Truly a great great concert DVD. Been watching it an hour a day for a couple weeks now. And the great T-Bone Wolk shows why he was so respected as a musician, doesnt he? Live from Daryls House had a very nice tribute to that worderful person and musician.
Tell me about it - year after year I come back to this. I have watched it over and over....just before T-Bone unleashes something godly on the audience, he is gently and nonchately strumming away but the rest of the guitarists know what is coming - the crowd love it and both Hall and Oates glance over with a smile of appreciation and thanks.
You don't realize how much T-Bone gave until you listen to clips like this one.. RIP. Daryll and John. You need to figure this shit out. You are better friends than enemies.
A great song!! Love this version... where's it at?? We have a weekly sports talk show that features Hall and Oats Friday the host is Chad Doing... Love his show and especially on Fridays cause I get to hear Hall and Oats!! Portland Oregon Flight 750!! On the AM Frequency...

went to 02 last night to watch hall and oates, boy these guys are good, what a voice daryl has been blessed with, if you get a chance to see them you won't be disappointed
the smirk on Oates' face at the 2:00 mark is the coolest thing he's done in 30 years. Not taking a shot.
Obviously, Daryl Hall and John Oates are like Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. Besides, the smirk on Oates' face at the 2:00 looks alike Donald Trump's ruclips.net/video/cnwKEsNrAyE/видео.html
Apart from writing this song, I guess. But I have to admit that this was funny. xD
He is just enjoying one of the greatest songs ever written
let's be clear though: nothing tops his 70s-80s pornstar moustache. That alone deserves its own HOF.

I've been a fan for 50+ years. It's sad they have this drama going on between them at this late stage of their careers 😢!
