- A South Carolina woman is facing assault and battery charges after being accused of hitting a black teenager at a community pool. A camera caught Stephanie Sebby-Stremple last month as she appeared to verbally and physically assault 15-year-old Darshaun Simmons. Michelle Miller reports.

In this instance the parents did right and there is nothing wrong with acknowledging that. You have many criminals who started on drugs because their parents gave it to them.

yes you have a point but the earth will not consciously poison itself or it’s water or it’s air. people do. the earth as a whole is not a living conscious being. whatever happens to it, is caused by us and the inexplicable ways of nature. so although earth may not need a permit because it cannot intentionally or consciously harm us, humans can. therefore we need proof we’re doing this for work and that’s it. of course there a ppl who still abuse their permits at least it’s in place. although i do have to agree, re hard less of the circumstances, permit for water is stupid.

I sat here and tried so hard to hold back tears, My heart breaks that in this day and age this is still going on. This young man is so brave and held himself together while being physically attacked oh my heart seeing this, I wish him all the best in life and he must be protected at all cost. Do you really believe the kid was innocent in all this, why do you think she said, " How does it make you feel?" as she slaps him, implies that he may have just slapped someone else. People of colour and especially black people get poor treatment solely based on their skin colour. It start at a young age being humiliated because of their ethnic traits, their names, skin colour, irrational stereotypes disguise as a "joke", even their own teacher could be racist. Then comes the adult life, denied jobs, denied a place to live, pulled by the police for no valid reason, being followed in the damn store because apparently dark skin makes makes people look "suspicious" and the list goes on. In can even affect your dating life, where parents refuse to let you date their daughter or son because of your skin colour!

Walking away was very smart on his part, to avoid any other issues. In the end, she got arrested and he walked away with his head held high.
