The easiest route to replacing Smith Rowe is Nwaneri. Signing Merino would relieve the burden for creativity and allow for a smooth transition for Nwaneri into the first team.
And maybe Partey and Jorginho are leaving next year.
So we if we get in Merino, and give Ethan more minutes this season, he might be ready to get more minutes / starting 11, next season.

Arsenal doesn't need to replace Smith Rowe. He rarely played the last 2 seasons and Fabio Vieira is there to fill in.
The club only needs 2 more signings: a midfielder (Merino/Ruiz), and a winger as cover for Saka
Nwaneri is probably ESR's replacement already
2 more signings if no more players leave after ESR who were in the first team last year. More likely 5 more signings.

@@stephensonwhite7963 Reality is that we have three players capable of playing striker and none to substitute Saka. We scored loads of goals last season. The priority is to buy someone that will let Saka rest when he needs to.

Bruh. We're selling esr, nketiah, kiwior look likely to be leaving. Ramsdale have conceded to raya thus looking to move on and we already signed his replacement. Its already reported that Arsenal will open negotiations with real Sociedad starting next week as soon as esr get sold to fulham (this week). We may not get ruiz but i think arsenal will make 2 more signings this summer on top of calafiori and potentially merino.

I don’t think we will sign anyone for replace ESR. Nwaneri will take his place. We will most likely sign one midfielder, one forward player to replace Nketiah (winger or striker) and then one keeper. I doubt we’ll do much more than that.

Its not cheat code. Signing players means nothing if you have not properly scouted and vetted them. Arteta and Edu know what they are doing. Now compare that to Chelsea who buy more players than anybody but are going backwards.

You signed caliaflori to have 4 CB's playing as a back 4 and merino to have a double CDM that would limit the creativity that's rigged and flat and would eventually take its toll.
A top striker who can get 30 goals is what they needed, yes goals were scattered over the entire teambut Arsenal's wingers are becoming very predictable so need a Haaland calliber of striker to covert those few chances in case of a low block playing team.

Calafiori could well be the piece of the puzzle that makes the Gooners champ contenders. Pep strikes me as a man what’s getting bored. Spurs have been found out I think and Man Utd have still got Haag so they’re still going to falter. Villa will have the same issues Newcastle had last season. Chewsi are transitional as are Liverpool. As long as Captain Black (Arteta) doesn’t lose his shite too much I think the Gooners are title contenders. Calafiori and Rice - if they dove tail - will win the league to them.
