Woo's street credit among his people went up to the roof after this. Imagine the biggest badass of the camp (not to mention white it was a big deal) brings Woo a corpse because he stole Woo's stuff.
Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy.....your big mouth and shitting your pants in Al's office probably nailed your death. The way Al just disposes of him is just beautiful.

anyone who hasnt seen this entire series is missing out on one of the absolute best pieces of entertainment, hands down. aside from the spectacular cast, it is from a time when words were a way to express yourself, and not 'violence' which they obviously are NOT. music from the 90's that was in the top 10, with single releases which played on MTV for months now has 'trigger warnings' on youtube. not because google is scared the music will hurt someone, but because rage against the machine advocates for an anti establishment way of life, and google is 250% establishment.
I love that in this scene, Leon is completely oblivious to the danger he's in, whereas Jimmy Irons is *keenly* aware that the short straw means life or death.
If you leave your mouse over the thumbnail of this video, you'll see this happy alternative storyline where Swearengen and Jimmy just chat endlessly, while the latter's taking a bath. No violence or nothing. Just two men talking and bathing.
You know Wu understood everything Al ever told him, you could tell from both their facial expressions it was a "game" between them the way they communicated with each other.
@@bwrpwr That's absolutely correct. If you watch an interview with the writers and actor who plays Wu, they say he purposefully never learned English as a safety measure to distance himself from having to deal with Trust. If everyone knows you don't understand what's being said, or at least thinks that, they don't have to worry about you making power plays against them. Wu was only concerned with gaining power amongst his own people, and this is his way of staying out of politics he knows he can't negotiate.
You've been wrong, since you first entered here... and that smell... cat piss... Ian Mcshane is INCREDIBLE at delivering his lines, and his performance... a master of his art!
This was a masculinity test conducted by Al. He was looking for the strongest and weakest man. Leon was more fearless and showed the most courage while Jimmy was looking feeble and acting weak. Never act submissive to anyone in any situation because your executioner will stop respecting you and kill you in the worst possible way.
He needed to keep Leon alive as he was Sy's man. Not killing him meant Al would be privy to whatever Leon could find out about Sy's dealings. Jimmy was no longer of use
Mr Psychology, this was no test at all. It was an arrangement. He even tells him so. Leon he used to get leverage and information on Sy. It wasn't about strength and weakness. They brought it on themselves, it's hard to feel much pity for these two individuals. Jimmy robbed the caravan coming from California and stole all the dope, then immediately flipped on Leon when Al summoned Jimmy to ask him about it.
No, you’re way off on that. If it was a test (it wasn’t) Swearingen would have respected Jimmy for sensing he was in danger while Leon couldn’t keep his stupid mouth shut. Leon was acting the fool - nothing masculine about that.
The real tragedy is Woo missed out on a real satisfying apology. Leon had one hell of an apology in store for him.
With soap.

It was a 2 phase apology..
😂😂😂😂

Damn. I didn't think about it like that. Makes sense.
Those hogs are gonna be high as kites after that meal.

Lol

Ya he was going no matter what straw he drew
Al couldn’t kill Leon because he worked for Cy
He was gonna kill Jimmy irons anyway because he already had Leon set up to spy on Tolliver's operations
How’s the leather boot taste on your tongue, you simpering COPsucker?
I think it was because he didn't want to start a war with Tolliver.
That’s exactly what it was

Should've disposed of Leon also. He gets Trixie who was on the rebound hooked on smack. Even Cy warned his gals not to do dope with Leon.
