Sadly they didn’t tear down the goal posts, the admin is lame and didn’t let them. I think some people got arrested or detained trying to though. They didn’t even let the goal posts get torn down after the Texas win a few years ago and I’d argue that might have been a more important historical win for the franchise with the history between the teams and the conference move announcement. If the goal posts didn’t come down against Texas they weren’t coming down for Tennessee. Not surprised we stormed Saturday though, with our rocky season, close losses, #4 rank, very close score, last second dramatic finish, and maybe a little bit of history thrown in it made the perfect storm to well… storm. Against Texas we stormed because it was Texas, against Tennessee we stormed because it was a #4 team during a rough year.

Believe me when I say that game will go down in Vanderbilt football history.. it’s nearly all anyone talks about.. and I work with the head doctor for their athletes and he has some great memories of that game that he would have to tell you about 😂😂.
