Dude same lol I was about 15 at the time this video came out and just started to look up haunting and mysteries surrounding dayz cause every now and then I’d hear some footsteps or breathing. Something ominous and can honestly say, I was so terrified I wouldn’t go out at night. I was just playing about 10 minutes ago before finding this video and was at a castle north or cherno and in visual distance south of Vyshnoye when just before settling in to log out, I kept hearing footsteps while in the main castle ruin building. I looked around guns ready and no one was there, checked online and no one else was on. Ended up not finding anything so I went back in and logged out. But that occurance intrigued me to look up some videos about DayZ’s mysteries and hauntings. It still hasn’t lost its charm after all this time. lol
wow. a few weeks ago i spent an entire 15 mins fooling around there by myself with my suppressed makarov. if i had known what went on there i would have rand all the way to berezino.
I once was lost in the woods on the brink of death due to starvation and I saw the tip of green mountain so I traveled there previously to this I had been hiding in a building and a car a drive past and stopped in the road for no reason I thought he saw me but I was still hiding so I waited after 2 mins he left and I thought that’s was that, I left and went into the woods which is how I got lost, once I got close to green mountain I noticed it was surrounded by zombies and I wanted to turn around but then I noticed the car parked infront was the same car I saw in town and wanted to investigate, I got 2 steps closer and was hit twice by a m4 I ran into the woods because I saw he was in the tower I watched him for awhile then decided to run for it, I got into the tower and climbed up where he was still shooting zombies but when I got up there it was empty and there was no body on the floor so he didn’t jump and he didn’t have enough time to log, I climbed down because I was still starving and I was just about to give up when I saw a backpack in the building and it had a can of beans in it.... I died of starvation opening the can of beans...definitely sum strange going on up there
Quite enjoyed the story line...by the way Green mountain is my base I have hung around that place on standalone and the MOD, been killed and killed their a few times in defense of the tower..the zombies I never kill them they help and notify me of intruders I just climb the tower until they get fed up. Also the police station does spawn some good loot, but the Zelengorsk isn't far away and theirs plenty of fresh water and the hunting is excellent. So my warning stay clear of my place!!!!!
@@imiaze5546 don’t think so. It takes 15 secs for your character to log out. This man was there one second. I pass through a doorway and he’s just gone. He was behind me when it happened.
@@buffybuffalo2975 maybe he got kicked bc of his ping or internet connection. Causw it kicks someone in the same second. And needs a while to come back
Spent over a year based up in green mountain. Tons of good firefights, and good times with old friends that I haven’t said a word to since then… kinda sad 😞 I have some really rad clips and screen shots of our raids and just hang outs with the whole squad
Yup, I went in there kinda expecting something to happen, but nothing really did except for the weird blackness whilst climbing the stairs. Either way I'll avoid it in the future, it kinda nerves me :/

idk what it is about the tower but whenever i walk through those front gates the tower scares the absolute crap out of me to the point where i hide in the police station while my friend checks for loot. this is because i was the exact same thing. a player (or clone) that was wearing the same clothing as me was running towards the tower and when i talked in voice chat he kept running. my friend told me to cap him but i didn’t cause i was so freaked out.

The server I play on is called going rogue and the only spawns are on the coast however I found a freshie there and he climbed the tower but when I climbed the ladder he was just dead up there no shots no way to click respawn he had food so idk what happened to blud
Offtopic: I love the look of the old stuff, but can't remember if the chem strikes were even a thing back then... Ontopic: You'd think by now, the place IS haunted; I'm sure over a thousand player deaths have happened there in the past decade.
I remember when I first got on DayZ, Played for 3 straight days with no sleep and I wanted to head there so i did and found a truck there just outside of the wall with no loot but fully operational...I took the truck and then somehow crashed and got flipped on the side, the server I was playing on doesn’t despawn loot so I had to figure out a way to get out of the truck alive so I just logged out and never got on ever since.
Man I went there to base up one time logged out inside the tower and I logged back in cuz I was like hm ima make it into a base and so I went down the latter and opened the door to the exit and a landmine was blocking me to leave after hours of trying I ended up trying to jump over it and it exploded and died so yeah kinda bugged and scary knowing someone in that parimiter was watching even though the server was empty
None of it makes sense. Watch towers Highly impractical during a apocalypse, unless a means to escape the infected. Even then, the might get knocked down.

Coincidentally, I met someone on DayZ. We allied for a few in game days. Eventually we got to green mountain, and this man inexplicably vanished.
