Because he had a harder life than Goku and he always kept everything to himself and tried to be strong. I mean, he was enslaved by Frieza from the age of 5, then his home planet was destroyed and his loved ones were killed, everyone in Frieza's army bullied him (Zarbon, Dodoria, Cui, Ginyu Force, Frieza), then when he thought, that with the help of the Dragon Balls he will gain immortality and defeat Frieza, then nothing works out for him, he is tortured and killed. He dies and thinks that his wish to destroy Frieza will come true, but Goku does not kill him (future Trunks did this). And how can you trust people in this case?
