@@lukeshaw3375 yeah that was after failing with the stupid loose plastic alignment tool it came with and not being able to seat the transmission like 3 times

Actually I was born in Arkansas, unfortunately raised and still live in California. This worked on the little 3cylinder Mitsubishi mini truck, but I’ve done this on countless manual transmissions from 4 cylinder beaters to high end Porsche and Lamborghinis- I now have decent tooling for my lathe so next time I’ll likely start with a chunk of steel or aluminum and turn it down to fit everything just because- will take a lot longer and won’t provide anything sockets won’t but i enjoy making aluminum chips and steel wool 😂
use your eyeball if you have no tool. get the splines centered on the bearing. its easier with a bearing as a bushing doesnt have seals and the center to line up on. Do NOT pull it in with the bolt, do it by hand.
Yes they will have a little shake to them, if they are about falling out I’d replace the clutch- but new out of the box they are not always tight in the perch.
@@wellscody86 thanks so i should be good with the one i got then as its just little movement when i move it with hand but does not move when i shake it
Your right but When your in BFE and the nearest store is over an hour away and they can get it hopefully next day it sucks. To be honest 95% of the clutches Iv replaced came with the tool, this was shipped from Japan for our mini truck so it was a surprise it didn’t have it. No way Napa was getting it any time soon.
That lines up the hole, but what about the splins. The disk won't spin to let you slide the inputshaft in unless you push in the clutch. Which you can't do. 🤔
well this hack has the "High-end" engine and trans jus sitting on the ground. Not to mention if you have a "high-end car you wouldn't be doing a clutch job DIY @@wellscody86 🤡
The cigarette smoke says it all man is seasoned😂
I’m not waiting for 2 day shipping when I’m closer than a grain of rice, thank you for posting this cause you just saved my weekend.
It work?
Brilliant! Thank you!
I've been looking for the right clutch tool but fck it, this will do 😆👍
Thanks man, saved me the hassle of trying to find a tool, the ones the clutch kits provide are shit and don’t line up shit
Tool costs around 130usd and has everything (SAC toolkit). It's insane what you get for it.
I just closed one eye and looked at it straight on and tried to center it best I could and it worked great lol transmission went right on
Same here 😂 quick prod to feel if it’s about level all the round and jobs a goodun

Aye. Just saved me some cash! Thanks bud!
This is a good idea!

Awsome
Lol did the same thing back in 1995 with an Rx-7
Gotta teach these new dogs old tricks🤙🏻
Are Corsa C 1.2 ecotec and Corsa D 1.2 ecotec clutch kit the same?
WELL, DUH !
Hi are the clutch plate supposed to make little noise when you shake them thanks
The center hub will sometimes be a bit noisy and clatter, when installed and in use it shouldn’t make any noise.
@@wellscody86 thank you and the springs in the clutch plate are they supposed to have little movement

That’s how it should be, the springs are what cushions the apply of the clutch so it’s not jerky.
What are you gonna do about that broken flywheel bolt?
It’s a alignment pin not broken bolt🤙🏻
@@wellscody86 that’s the first I’ve seen of something like that. That’s kinda crazy man.
Do you have to pack with grease?
It’s not a bearing removal- it’s to align the clutch disc with the flywheel /pressure plate /pilot bearing.
Huh....the bearing.....grease it??

NV 😂 just spin the trans from tale shaft. Lol.
Sometimes we need to voice things out to solve the problem 🤙🏻
if your kit didn't come with the alignment tool YOU ARE CHEEP AF
Not everyone drives a Honda, a lot of high end vehicles don’t come with one with a clutch.
