Thx! Changed the battery in no time and luckily all the electronics, radio etc still works after unplugging the old battery. Cheers!

Thanks. Especially for the bit about checking key works manually before starting the job! Methodical & clear.

Great video, it was really helpful. However When taking the plastic battery cover off both clips broke off instead of looking flexible like yours. I'm guessing that's because of the cold weather over here hardening the plastic. but otherwise the car is running beautifully.

Hi 00shokid. Sorry to hear they broke, and we have had our fair share of plastic clips breaking. So many hot and cold temperature cycles including the age of plastics can end up making them brittle :( Glad your car is running well and you found the video useful.

Thanks for the great video. Battery now changed & to answer some of the questions below, my radio still worked. The only thing I had to alter, was the clock which had reset to 0:00, (Note - This was on a 2014 Seat Ibiza 1.4 ).

Hi, my battery is flat and I want to buy a new one. I have a seat Ibiza 2012 1.4 84hp and I wanted to know what type of battery I must buy. Is it a acid one I need or a different one?

Are the battery terminals clean? Have you checked all the fuses and relays? If there is no crank, you may also need to check the starting motor and earth strap.

That nut at the bottom that holds the battery is a nightmare, sprayed with dw40 and everything won’t loosen at all.
