I love the motorcyclists, that made this scene more bearable for me. It's so sweet to know that even with all of those protesters, there are a few really badass dudes willing to back up a family in a horrible crisis.

A small group pulled up and gave me a ride to the main to the main tent where my mom was, even got me an ice cream and a teddy bear to make me feel better. Earlier in the movie, the doctor who was being questioned said that you should not reveal a medical condition to someone unless it's a threat to their health. Gwen shouldn't be punished for telling them she was biologically male, hell the doctor didn't say she was once biologically male until she was questioned. The bible has noble Transgender figures in it, the old testament and the new testament. EUNUCHS are Transgender individuals and not all of them were castrated against their will. In Matthew 19:12, it also mentions how some Eunuchs are born as such in their mother's womb(hermaphrodites) and there are those that made themselves Eunuchs(transsexuals). The bible even depicts angels as being Transgender or genderless in Revelation 9:8. Transpeople are reborn like Jesus Christ and are not mistakes.

I understand that we are taught God does not make mistakes. However, I don't feel you are turning your back on your religion for accepting a person for who they are. Transgendered people are born with a disaility so to speak. Some disabilities can be seen but other can't be. Understandng that there are people like Gwen isn't turning your back on your religion. Unfortunately it's our culture to be hung up on things like race, class and sexuality. Gwen was a beautiful person who didn't care about anything but expressing who she was.
@twychang Why are you replying to each part of the movie with the same comment? In any case, I disagree with you. Earlier in the movie, the doctor who was being questioned said that you should not reveal a medical condition to someone unless it's a threat to their health. Gwen shouldn't be punished for telling them she was biologically male, hell the doctor didn't say she was once biologically male until she was questioned. Murder is still murder, regardless of the reasons.

Those people on the street fricken piss me off. I mean though they don't agree with it they could have had a little more respect for the family I mean their granddaugher, daughter, friend and sister were just married, all those people should have been arrested. I loved the people who came out for gwen though i know that if i had lived around there and was older and i would have been out there in support of the family and for Gwen.

I'm a girl, and I have a friend who told me one day she had a crush on me an several other girls at school. I was freaked out but did I kill her? No, I just told her she was confused and needed help. She wasn't trying to hurt me physically, maybe emotionally, but it wasn't intentionally and that's something that a person can get over.

The bible has noble Transgender figures in it, the old testament and the new testament. EUNUCHS are Transgender individuals and not all of them were castrated against their will. In Matthew 19:12, it also mentions how some Eunuchs are born as such in their mother's womb(hermaphrodites) and there are those that made themselves Eunuchs(transsexuals). The bible even depicts angels as being Transgender or genderless in Revelation 9:8. Transpeople are reborn like Jesus Christ and are not mistakes.

What I learned in Church is that God accepts anybody including gays. Gwen is not gay, she is born in a guy body, its not her fault shes born like that. Also, being gay is a learned behavior its not part of the gene. -My Church

And just tell his parents they need to talk to their transgendered child and that their ideas of doing what they did is sick. Regardless, it's still not okay to beat someone up just because they lied to you and had sexual contact with you. You don't see rape victims beating the shit out of their attackers.

There is a scene missing. Where Gwen meets the motorcycle gang at the convenience store; just before she is attacked. I am wondering what else was omitted. Sad story that should never have happened. I understand that we are taught God does not make mistakes. However, I don't feel you are turning your back on your religion for accepting a person for who they are. Transgendered people are born with a disaility so to speak. Some disabilities can be seen but other can't be. Understandng that there are people like Gwen isn't turning your back on your religion. After all people are born with all sorts of malformations. Maybe God lets trasgendered people live so they can teach us compassion.
God loves the gay community. He loves all of his children. If God hated his children why would you follow and believe in him? Don't go around telling people God hates them that is untrue and comes from fake Christians.
