    香港節慶管弦樂團2013快閃:貝多芬第九交響曲 -《快樂頌》

    / hongkongfestorch
    HKFO Season 2013: "Ode to Change" is a trilogic project designed to take audiences of Hong Kong through a transformational journey, uniting lay listeners, aficionados and veteran music lovers from the hustling and bustling streets of Hong Kong into the solemn concert halls.
    For decades, Hong Kong has been labeled as a cultural desert, despite the many musical monuments the city has established throughout the years. On 28 July 2013, Part One of HKFO's "Trilogy of Change" is put into motion. Planting the seeds of change deep into the streets of Hong Kong, HKFO premieres the city's first large-scale choral-orchestral "flash mob", bringing to the audience excerpts of Beethoven's Symphony No.9 at the heart of one of Hong Kong's densest malls, the Shatin New Town Plaza. A cry for universal brotherhood, HKFO enlists listeners far and wide in our campaign of revolution, innovation and change, to tend the once-desert into green pastures.
    Part Two and Part Three of HKFO's journey continue on 19 August 2013 at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall performing with the renowned popular artist George Lam, and on 27 August 2013 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall performing the entire Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

    I wonder whether Beethoven ever imagine his music being played all over the world, across culture and boundaries. Ode to Joy if not the most recognizable tune in the world, it must be one of the most loved music piece by people around the world.

    All beautiful music deserves to reach countless ears that may never otherwise enjoy it. I love how flash mobs are now creating whole new audiences, some of whom might otherwise never hear classical and even believe pop and rock are as good as it gets. These activities plus the making of beautiful sounding orchestra instruments out of trash in poor nations for children who would never otherwise get a chance to play one gives me hope for humanity.

    Music recognizes no borders, no nationalities, no limits. Time has no meaning to music. This is one of the greatest pieces of music ever created, by a man who never once set foot in Hong Kong. And yet it's played right here. Timeless Music like the Ode To Joy is as close to touching God as humans can get.
    Such beautiful Music must be inspired by something greater than ourselves, no? Otherwise, why are there people like Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky? People who were endowed with a creativity that common men do not possess? Music such as this must come from some external place. Call this external place "God". Music is the firmest proof we have that God exists.

    • @theDebel1
      @theDebel1 10 лет назад +3

      John Landon have you ever read Tolkien's Silmarillion? If you have you would know that Eru (God) just raise his hand and music, harmoni is heard. Also all Eru's "angels" (the Ainur) had they're very own part in the Music. Melkor (the Devil) changes his part of the music to his own good, not Eru's. So what i want to say is: Yes, you are right. I believe music comes from God, or just inspired by him. And another "proof" is that Doumbledore, (even if he is a fictive person) says something like "There is no greater magic than music". And in my opinion, none can change, i mean everything comes from God, some people may just don't want to believe in Him because he allows evil to happen, such as the Holocaust. But we don't have the mind to understand that. To everyone who doesn't know God I'll just say, look God up in the Bible and see for yourself!

    Wonderful to see Orchestra in Hong Kong no longer just being played in Concert Halls or official events but casual place like a shopping centre, so to allow people that had never heard classical music a chance to listen, enjoy and be amazed :-D Well done!!

    Music is God's gift to mankind, a universal language that knows no boundaries. I Thank god for glorious music like this Ode to Joy, I feel it makes for a perfect Global Anthem too.

      People who attack Germans need to reveal their own nationality. Otherwise they are just cowards. Maybe you don't reveal your nationality because your country cannot afford to point the finger at Germany? I am not German but many other countries like Britain also committed mass murder against millions of people. So think first before you throw a stone at Germany.
