Sir maine bhi just 1 month phele he new camera lea toh mai ne ye he socha ki fungus lag sakta hai ya dust bhi Camera ko damage kar sakta hai toh maine apne bag mai boht sare silica gel ke packet rakh dea toh vo bhi sahi hai na sir ?

The issue with Silica Gel is that it needs to be recharged like a battery from time to time. You can open up a small packet of Silica gel & if the grains are colourless or white then they have already absorbed moisture from the surrounding air & are no longer gonna help you protect your equipment. To recharge them simply put a cloth on a hot Tava (like after making rotis we simply keep it as it is to cool off) & put the packets of Silica gel for some time on them. To verify you can tear open a small packet & you will see them turned blue which means they will now absorb moisture from the air. This method costs nothing & is highly effective. Another method is to use a incandescent lamp ( 20 ₹ bulb) & heat the camera & lens a little bit which will dry them & use zip bags for storing. This method too is highly effective.

Good review. But, the LCD screen doesn't have sleep function. It's switched on continuously and is very annoying. Also, if the lcd is alwags on, i am sure it is going to fail in a few months. Bought the same one. Let us see how it goes.

Disadvantage: Do not let the humidity drop below 40. Keep it between 40-50. If you go too low your camera rubber will start cracking!
