    I just bought the Mobapad HDs. I wonder how these compare.

    This joycon have the D-pad fairly high up - that's an advantage IMO.

      I agree. It's in a good position. Not directly below the stick, and offset to the side like this works well.

    how loud would you say the buttons are, annoying loud or bearable. does the sound make you not want to play in public spaces. Thinking of getting one but not sure about the sound of the buttons.

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  3 месяца назад

      They don’t bother me much at all. I’d prefer standard silicone membranes for whenever I’m worried about bothering other people but these buttons click relatively quietly. The sound is about the same as a mouse, maybe a bit quieter. They’re not super clicky like some of the other smaller handheld devices shoulder buttons I’ve seen lately.

      @@OGTechNick I see, I was considering this controller. thought they might be too loud since i mainly play my switch in car rides, having a tough decision between this and the retroflag, or maybe even the hori split pad compact. anyways thanks for answering the question, and nice video :)

    Which one is the best for you ? M6 hd or coiorvis ? I've got the m6hd and sadly the right joystick cap became grey within a few days..
    Thanks

      I prefer the M6, but I understand what you’re saying. I don’t know what they were thinking putting bright white thumbstick caps on it. I figured they’d start to change color so I ordered a set of Skull & Co. Thumbstick Caps for Steam Deck. They fit well on the M6. I love the way the rubber feels on them too. Super grippy.

    This looks great because i hate when they have buttons on the back

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  5 месяцев назад

      I know what you mean. Very rarely are they placed in a position that is actually comfortable to use, and more often than not they’re placed in a way where you constantly have to work to avoid accidental presses. I do like them if they are done right though. The most recent video I posted has 4 back buttons on a controller and they work well.

    Do these work wirelessly via bluetooth or are they only functional when attached to the Switch?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  7 месяцев назад

      They work wirelessly just like JoyCon, via Bluetooth. I’ll be posting a video soon where I test them with a phone that has a telescopic grip with JoyCon rails. I’ll be able to show the quality of the sticks through Gamepad Tester.

      The dpad seems better than the moba pad 6 HD joycoms. Sadly, even with the 2 different dpad attachmenrs; both are simply nom functional for fighting games.

      @enriquepinero707 I have to agree with you. It’s unfortunate. I wish these companies would put more effort into making proper dpads. Struggling to throw a fireball just shouldn’t be a thing. It’s getting frustrating with all these bad dpads.

    Do these work on PC, SteamDeck?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure if Steam Deck can use JoyCon but I know PC does. These are recognized as official JoyCon by the Switch and the PC, so no problems there.

    How long does the battery last though? 🤔

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  5 месяцев назад

      Good question. I haven’t tested them much wirelessly, but while connected to the Switch they’ll stay charged until the Switch battery dies. I’m guessing they don’t last very long playing wirelessly, being that they don’t come with a center piece.

    hi there, im from Malaysia, new subscriber👍, saw your review bout the coiorvis phantom,wanna ask your thought bout this device, because i saw this coiorvis phantom design seem like copy of hori split compact ,or am i was wrong,i like hori split pad compact design but it doesn'thave the other functionality , saw this phantom and i would like to hear your opinion , thanks alot and have a good day🙏

      Hi. Thanks for the sub! The Split Pad pro is a decent JoyCon alternative but the COIORVIS Phantom is better because they have HD rumble, gyro, macro buttons, Hall effect sticks, and they work wirelessly with Bluetooth. You might think the Split Pad Pro is slightly more comfortable, but that is subjective so I’m not sure. You can also take a look at the Mobapad M6 S and the M6 HD for other alternatives. Have a great day!

    Looks like a mobapad clone

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  7 месяцев назад

      I have a feeling Mobapad and COIORVIS are working together in some capacity. If you look at their older controllers, they use the exact same mold.
