I ordered these today myself. I own so many of these things - the original M6, Hori Split Pad Pro, two sets of the OG Binboks... I've never found anything that ticks all the boxes but I'm hopeful for these. I also super super hope that the Switch 2 keeps the same rail design so I don't have to turn around and buy yet another set for it :D
Can we use the tomtoc hori split pad compact case for this? If not, is there any other case you can recommend? Can we use the tomtoc hori split pad compact case for this? If not, is there any other case you can recommend?
I have them and when I ordered I debated the same thing. They make a case directly from Mobapad that you can get (and they give you money off the case if you bundle to controllers and the case). I had already had the Skull and Co. grip with the Max Carry case so decided to chance hoping that case would fit and it just does.
I’m debating if these and the normal one if the HD rumble is worth the difference! Because for the price I could get a case or a cheaper game! Also is there away you could do a follow up video with pros and cons? Thanks!
How do you feel about the size, compared to Hori Split Pad Pro/Compact? My hands are pretty slim, so the NYXI ones are too big and uncomfortable in handheld mode for me. Thanks for making the video!
To be honest I feel like the hori split pad pro are a little bigger and therefore more comfortable for bigger hands but I would still take these because they improve greatly over joycons and have all that first party feature goodness Personally I haven’t tried the hori compact
Well I never did get the Nixy but these aren’t heavy. They aren’t as light as the Hori Split Pad Pro so I’d say they aren’t terrible but they aren’t Xbox elite levels of premium. They also have built in batteries which do add some heft.
Have you tested input lag/latency by any chance. The official Pro controller would of been fine when playing docked, but it has around 12ms more latency than the Joy-Con's.
@@pandamusart I asked the official Mobpad YT channel as well, but no response. Not buying unless these they have less latency than the official Pro Controller. :P Need actual testing though instead of somebody saying "I feel no lag" lol I only play docked, and the official Pro controller would of been perfect if it weren't for the fact that it has 12ms more lag than the joy-con's. Platformers, especially wind up feeling less responsive a bit more sluggish. Nintendo dropped the ball this generation with their controllers. The joy-cons are an awful subsitute or replacement for the Wii remote plus & nunchuck and the Pro controller is just a bland XBOX rip off with high latency. :P
They use the actual joy con rails for communication with the system so it would have the same latency as the official joy cons. They don't require the wired pro controller option to be enabled.
@@Priest015 I dont game in handheld, so I'd be using them with Nintendo's Official Joy-Con middle grip attachment(With the butter fly winds detached) when playing docked. If there's less latency than the official Pro controller when playing docked than that's a win in my eyes.
How's the weight on them? I'm asking cause I have the Hori ones and they feel so hollow and plasticky that I barely use them. If they have a similar weight as the joycons I'll buy these for sure.
Thanks for the great review. Thinking about getting these as I find the joy cons a bit small, so don't play in hand-help mode much. One question, how do they perform with motion games - Switch Sports, House of the Dead, Arms, etc. - as those games always get loaded up when have friends round? Thanks again,
I've been waiting for better joycons that do everything for a while now, these are going to great for games like skyrim that have interesting joycon specific features but I find the joycons sticks too fiddly to be usable.
everyone says these are the best. but again, the ONE thing nobody seems to talk about, is if they constantly charge from the switch. thats mega important. the official joycons suck because they constantly drain switch battery to charge the joy cons. i hope to god these things dont do that, especially because of the features. the HD rumble will be more power hungry. when i used the HORI split pad pro my switch battery lasted so much longer. because it doesnt have batteries.
I saw these on ali Express, too one day and now I'm interested. I'm debating either these or the nyxi hyperion Pro bc nyxi has that beautiful gamcube theme, but these just seem better, so it's a hard choice 😬

Having switch 2 compatibility is my biggest hope too

Hi. Do you know what size thumb grips these use?
Do they feel cheaply made or do they have some weight to them? The Nyxi Hyperion felt so heap in your hand. Super plasticy

Lol I've been searching for the same and polling rate but none of these reviews have covered this

Is the joystick swappable? I saw the Mobapad M9 which has swappable joystick.
Yes, you can pop them off and swap them with the pro controllers sticks.
@@Statistic189 how about the buttons? Is it also swappable like the M9?
@@dondizon4061 that one I’m not 100% about. But I’ve seen the joysticks swapped successfully.
What’s the dimensions after put on switch?

Pro bc nyxi has that beautiful gamcube theme, but these just seem better, so it's a hard choice 😬
I was looking at the nyxi too but as soon as I knew these had had rumble I was sold.
I think these are way better than NYXI
Stay away from the Hyperion. They use cheap azz plastic and the rumble sounds like a cheap android phone
These are much better than the NYXI Hyperion. But it's also much more expensive
Was the carrying case free or did you order it separately?
It came included with the controllers however you can find a version that does not include the case for ten dollars cheaper or so.
Any idea if they’ll fit in the Tomtoc case meant for Hori Compacts?
Try to remove de cross Dpad. It is quite funny.
Update bro!! 😉
