      @OfficerArsenault You should. Not unlike in the states when LEO's try to push "interference," the LEO's in Canada will always resort to claiming "obstruction" as a result of their unlawful directives being disregarded by informed citizens. Take the whole "occupation" in Ottawa, for instance.

    First it makes me giggle that Pappy always looks disgusted when you ask him a question. Second I find more people are not following traffic laws. More people taking huge chances even in cities and towns. I guess I’m in the older generation but I find younger people have the me first attitude, or they are in a huge hurry to get to somewhere a second before you. They take too many chances with other people’s lives. Texting and apps other than maps should be disabled once you enter a vehicle. Maybe they can invent a way that a phone disables in a vehicle as soon as you pick it up.

    I agree with you 100%
    I might have fast cars, but traffic safety is paramount in my mind. There is a time and place for everything and that’s why we have tracks all over Ontario if you want to go fast and see what you and your car are capable of. It’s not really expensive either! About $350 for short DDT at Mosport and Cayuga. About twice that for the GP track at Mosport which happens to be the fastest track in North America! All great lapping days and so much fun all day affairs!! You are literally exhausted by 4pm! I love to go fast and can’t think of a better place to do it IMHO.
    Please continue these great videos as I think the more you bring these things up the more ppl will be aware of their surroundings and what they actually do. Remember the definition of integrity: Doing the right thing even when no one is looking. 😎⚫️💙⚫️

    I am from India and I really appreciate the canadian police. They are so good in taking care of communities. I also understand its not easy for cops to handle the situation and I know sometime they also tired or not in good mood. But I think atleast only one time or first time if a driver break any law like speeding or something only deriving related than there should be only one chance given with minimal ticket and 1 or 2 demerits points. I got a ticket for speeding and it was first time in my record and first time I got pulled over. I tried to explain my situation why I was going fast but in end I got speeding ticket. I am not angry but I am sad for this because now next 3 years the point stay on my license and my insurance go high. Now I am scared sometime of driving. What you think is there should be a first offence given as warning ? (Normally asking if you feel comfortable than please tell me otherwise its okay ) I appreciate for canadian cops in anyways.

    So I'll bring police accountability into question here. There are videos of cops running at unreasonable amounts of speeds without their lights on or siren going, passing a stopped school bus on the shoulder and almost hitting a kid, and running stop signs and red lights without lights/sirens activated, where we would get huge fines and/or criminal charges, the cops get nothing. There is zero accountability for cops when they violate the law. If I go to the station to report it, I get put on a list and/or harassed if I pushed it further. I am in the U.S. and I will say that I live in a police state. We have the highest incarceration rate per capita in the world, yet they still call the U.S. "the land of the free." The reality is we're the land of the imprisoned if you ignore the propaganda.

    • @OfficerArsenault
      @OfficerArsenault  2 месяца назад

      I do agree with some of what you say, but not all. It could be different in the US but I’d certainly say we do have a lot of police oversight and accountability here. Officers are held to account, of course there are exceptions (I’ve made videos about it trying to explain it) but I’m not sure about the list and such. I appreciate the comment.

    Traffic laws are clear and easy to understand. Furthermore, you are tested prior to having a permit to use a vehicle. The government uses a lot of money here in Alberta to post different highway safety act laws to make sure people know at all time and i can only assume Ontario does the same. Speed limits are clear, yet people speed and people die. Driving under the influence is clearly illegal. Yet people do it and people die. Law enforcement is just that, the enforcement of the law. If people are mad a law enforcement officers for enforcing the laws that literally keep them safe and would drastically lower the numbers of fatalities on the canadian roads ot makes as much sence as people being mad at paramedics for taking people to the hospital.
    Accountability is a hard pill to swallow for those who believe to be above it.

    What your opinion of someone getting a ticket for speeding, no seat belt and being on a cell phone when the officer had done the exact same thing?
    Or an officer doing over 130 in a 45 and hitting and killing somebody. Then blaming the citizen for not yielding. Testing the victims for alcohol and drugs but not the officers. Then the officer claims QI for being on a call?

    Money grab or not, follow the rules of the road. It's quite simple actually! 😜 I also believe the tickets for parking in a handicapped spot should be far more excessive than just $450. A couple years ago in Sauble Beach I got a ticket by a bylaw officer for having a small tent set up on the beach in the back corner away from everyone and that was $495.

People who leave comments about 'money grabbing' directed at the officers are usually the most avid speed lovers and have always had or are having problems with law enforcement. I’ve had my full G for 14 years now? And in 14 years no tickets or fines. It’s amazing that’s the result or respectfully acknowledging the speed limited is and following the rules of the road. Do I always go the speed limit, that’s a silly question, have I mistakenly gone through a turn on red or rolled a stop sign again silly question.
