Is the frosting stiff enough to keep its shape.. for example by pipping roses around the sides? Beautiful cake! I make tres leches cake and I usually let it soak over night before decorating. As I am planning on making my baby girl 1st bday cake but two tier, this seems like an alternative as it’s not as soaked and the frosting looks deliciously divine!
This frosting can be a little bit on the softer side. If you want super pretty roses, I would frost the cake with whipped cream frosting, let it chill, then use my Italian Meringue or French buttercream to make the roses :)

Do not put sliced fruits and berries in the cream for the layer, because Berries oxidize dairy products, the fermentation process begins If you want to add them to the filling, mix with sugar or/and a gelling agent. This is important theory
Hmm, I've never had any issues with my cake recipes and using berries. I think if you wanted to leave the cake for a long time but this one should be enjoyed within a few days

The cake will be extra soft and a little harder to cut. Giving it an even an hour in the fridge will make it easier to serve :)
