I wear L’Eau D’hvier on dates, at work and even at home. Even for men, it’s very classy and one of the few scents in my collection that everyone loved! A hidden gem! 👌
L’eau d’Hiver is my favourite perfume in the Frederic Malle collection. I initially was trying to reach out for Musc Ravageur and Carnal Flower being the most popular ones but i love muted, understated but elegant fragrances. I just realized I love fragrance with Heliotrope as well. Reminds me of Glicine from Acca Kappa. Appreciate all your videos and perhaps in the future you could feature more lactonic fragrances.
MFK GF silver is my favorite winter scent. It’s like liquid metal, a cold scent. I think it’s interesting everyone talks about warm scents, but this one is quintessential cold, and just smells like winter to me. Good video.
I get all my purchase advice from you. I didn't go wrong with jo malone jasmine and hibiscus palm! both buys were blind buys based off of your video. Both are superb! thanks so much Jus de Rose
I have been wearing Amouage Material, and as a man, I like to describe it as a dirty vanilla. It is an incredibly underrated fragrance, because it fell in the shadow of Boundless, which was released at the same time. Both Boundless and Material are fantastic offerings. Do not sleep on Material, folks. It is a masterpiece.
Gris charnel is a wonderful wearing experience. Unique and creamy. My most favourite fig fragrance so far😍 Your positive energy and your excitement are so intoxicating❣💕💕💕
One fragrance I have been reaching for a lot this winter is Lune Feline by Atelier des Ors. I also have been wearing Gris Charnel to bed quite frequently as well. This is one of my favorite fragrances to wear out of the shower in the evenings.
Thank god I found your channel. I've been going around the city sniffing all the perfume I can to find the perfect spicy, mysterious girl type of perfume and haven't found a perfect one yet. So far, based on your recommendations, I have selected a few into my wish lists. Please please do more sexy, mysterious girl type of perfume that is not a sweet scent.
Santal austral was one of the best discoveries of last year and probably the first sandalwood fragrance that I really enjoyed. I've tested out almost all fragrances from Matiere Premiere and I must say that they are a really nice house with great fragrances; I especially enjoy Santal austral and Encens suave. I don't know the fragrance from Frederic Malle, but from your description it sounds good and like you, sometimes I want some fresh fragrances in winter. I am waiting forward for your layering video and maybe you can recommend some fragrances to use when you want to tone down an intense and deep fragrance, especially the ones with amber/resins and incense. Thank you for the video!
Santal Austral is really fab. Looking forward to getting a full bottle soon as soon as my sample runs out. Really looking forward to sharing the fragrance layering video there are a few great combos that I’m super excited about!
Im a lover of peoni based fragrances theyre fresh enough for everyday but heavy enough for colder seasons. Ive been wearing banana republic peoni n pink peppercorn and chloe blush suede on intervals n i love that d dry downs are both mild but stays on the skin in a romantic yet light way.
You have helped me discover beautiful fragrances and I look forward to all of your videos! I’m dying to try L’Eau d’Hiver because although I prefer warm scents in the winter, I like a fresh vibe on occasion. Thanks Josephine!❤️
The BDK Gris Charnel is my Xmas present 😃 🥰 🎁 and I love it!!! It is perfect 90 % matchimg, replacement for my beloved but discontinued Balmain Ambre Gris 😎 thanks for bringing this one to my attention 🙏😘😘
Huge fan of your work. As you recommended leau dhiver, will try it asap. I recommend u trying out dans tes bras frederic malle. Perfumer is Maurice roucel. It’s stunning scent. My favourite musk based scent. 😍
I just saw that matiere premiere started doing 7ml. and a 7ml. Trio set. So now I’m very tempted to get 3 bottles to try. For sure will get Parisian musc. What else do you enjoy from this house?
Yes they do! I bought a discovery set a while back and that’s how I discovered I experienced the brand more fully (instead of smelling in stores) and love so many they offer. Here are some of my favs: Parisian Musc, Cologne Cédrat, Neroli Oranger, Santal Austral, Encens Suave lol I think I love them all 🙈
Since you gave an excellent layering combination, I will provide a terrible one that I discovered accidentally. Parfums De Marly Galloway with Herod. You will smell like the incense in a smoke shop 😅 Also, I ended up buying a 50ml bottle of Tardes for my dear friend Natalya. I love love LOVE it and so did she. Thank you for the suggestion!
Hi Josephine, I'm a big fan of your videos. I'd love if you do a video for alternatives for discontinued favorite fragrances (Ex. Acqua Di Gio Essenza, One Million Privé)
Hi Jose, thanks for your comment. I haven't done a video on this topic but that's a good idea! For those that I've tried before they got discontinued I will look into it. Have a great week!
I just ordered a sample of Material! I can’t decide if I need Gris Charnel when I already have another fig fragrance- Philosykos Diptyque? Can you explain what the name means? When I googled the translation is grey death.
Bonjour ma belle. How do you do? Anyway, thanks for another great review! 👍👍Ordered the samples on all the niche brands you talked about on your vids and I can't wait to get my nose on them!😊Also, I finally got my hands on tardes and I'm loving it so much I also bought the hair spray the next day. All the fragrances you recommended I ended up loving. Buying them blindly so I'm pretty sure by now we have the same taste in fragrance which makes me so giddy!🤩 I also layered the vanilla vibes and hibiscus palm following your instructions and the combination on my skin was so intoxicating and addictive I kept smelling my wrists and I just wanna wear them everyday. Btw, I was wondering if you could perhaps do the "Top 10 Beautiful Everyday Perfume for Women Designer Edition?" That would be another treat to watch. You did the men already but not the women on that category. 😘❤🥂
Hello lovely! I'm very well, how are you? Where did you order your samples may I ask? I'm interested in finding some new websites to get niche samples as it's not always easy. I'm glad to hear you like tardes and hibiscus palm + vanilla vibes combo :) What other perfumes did you get from my videos? Just curious! I can definitely look into everyday designer perfumes though it's harder for women's perfumes as I find the designer selection quite limiting compared to mens (the feminine fragrances are all very much sugary sweet...)!
@@jusderose I ordered the samples at lucky scent website. They have a lot of niche fragrances selection and the prices of their samples aren’t too high compared with the other websites. I also bought the Scherzo, Gardenia Rattan (for some reason gardenia rattan, on my skin, I can hardly smell it, not even on my clothes) Jasmine Sambac and Marygold, Twilly (I think it’s my new signature scent together with Tardes but the latter didn’t last long on my skin hence why I bought the hair mist and plan on ordering the Bo-Bo body cream to help with the longevity) Noir de Noir, L’interdit, Alien, Black Orchid, Libre, Luna Rossa Black, La Nuit De L’homme, Tea Tonique (I wear when I go to bed, it relaxes me), Oud For Greatness, Un Jardin Sur La Lagune and By The Fireplace. I find I don’t like sweet fragrances much more saccharine sweet fragrances on me. They give me a headache. I like my sweet but on the lighter side of things. Ever since I was little I prefer the smell of mens fragrances because I find womens fragrances cloying and suffocating and no matter how expensive the price may be, I would always find it cheap and ordinary. I was never one to wear any fragrance, I would sniff it but never wear it, until I’ve found your channel. That’s when I became curious to sniffing fragrances I ended up trying them on my skin and ended up loving them on me. Not all of the fragrances I bought I ended up loving or liking. Very few I ended up returning or giving away because my nose just wasn’t crazy about them. But majority of them I keep and love and ones I would repurchase for certain. So thank you. I didn’t know how fun and interesting the fragrance world is until you. Now I have two obsessions.. skincare and perfume. 😊🤩😍
Love your videos, they're very informative and fun. Can I ask if you have ever tried "Farah" by "Brecourt"? I smelled it once and really liked it but I'm not sure if I should buy a bottle. I'd appreciate your expert opinion :D

Is it just me, or is there something very green in Gris charnel .. I spray it on paper or in the air and it's ok, but on my clothes and skin, I just smell like dill & coriander 🙄
Let’s get count on how many of my fragrances have come from your recommendation- By the Fireplace, Miller Harris Scherzo, MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver, Van Cleef & Arpel Bois Dore, BDK Gres Charnel, Invictus supreme (for my husband), just a few on top of my head, lady you gonna break not just my wallet but my bank 🏦

I got those two because of her too, as well as Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir, and all three are excellent!

L'Eau d'Hiver is like fragile flowers breaking throughout frost on a honeyed, gently base.
I think it was inspired by Aprés L'Ondeé?
I love that description!
So many good advices to buy a perfume to my mother (she has birthday in 5 days) ! This is just beautiful, thanks!
