Second Sun Hydroponics T5 High Output Fluorescent light vs LED Shop Light. Why this comparison? The LED Shop Light is something the home gardener can find easily at most box stores and is close to a T12 or T8 fluorescent light. So I wanted to illustrate the benefits to switching to high output T5 fluorescent.
Microgreens are produced a few days faster with the T5 lights, which means a grower could expect 15-30 more crops per year. The leaves are bigger and darker green under the T5 light, and the pack is filled out much more completely.
