Nice field trip there, Leo. Looked like ya'll enjoyed yourselves and gave Heather plenty to do when you got home. I've got one gripe with you old friend. When you're in these old cemeteries, you find a headstone and get down to look at it, I can not help but lean over to try to see better or move over go the side to try and see better. If anyone was watching me they would probably think I was losing what few marbles I have left. I have even hollered at you a time or two to not move away, I just about had it made out. So if my wife tries to put me away, I'm moving out there with ya'll !!! Love what ya'll do. Love your videos. God bless ya'll for what you're doing. Stay safe out there on these road trips.
Beautiful day & scenery. They unmarked or graves marked with only Fieldstones make me so sad. I cannot imagine burying a loved one & not being able to mark their resting place with a name. An interesting look into history. Good work Leo Danny & Heather 💗
After watching your videos, I feel the need to donate a couple of weekends to the maintenance of my family's cemetery. I'm sure it needs some love and care. There's a local group that has been restoring a local cemetery that dates to the early 1800's. It's been amazing to watch the transformation as it slowly comes back with the stones repaired and cleaned, the iron fences repaired, brush removed.😊
Hey Leo. Next time you're out reading old headstones, try taking alone a flashlight. Just move the light up and down on the edge of the stone. Better results if it's in the shade, or someone can shadow you. It also works with a mirror. Just reflect the light off of the mirror on to the headstone. Enjoy watching you videos, verry good.
33:44 Hey just wanted to let y'all know that BSM stands for bronze star medal (they're rarely if ever called that though it's always just called bronze star) and PH stands for purple heart (a lot of my family is in or was in the military for the past couple of generations so i'm pretty familiar with it). Thank you for your service to this gentleman and to all the other vets buried here lots of respect of for military ❤️🇺🇸 Great video as always 😊
Just wondering is this the same family cemetery as the early 1990s video I found on RUclips? I'm sure you have seen the video just wondering. Cool to see you guys there now and then to see that old video of the family talking about who all is buried there.
Your title for this one kinda freaked me out. My first husband's name was John Wallace. He just passed away a few months back. Kinda weirded out, but love when you post. I watch em all. Thanks Leo, hi Heather. Blessed day to you.
As has already been noted, FC1 is fire controlman 1st class. The layed and aimed the guns and torpedoes, made range calculations, and performed some specialized maintenance on the various guns aboard a ship. The 307th infantry fought in the Pacific, most notably in Guam, the Philippines, and Okinawa.
Good advice Leo. I would have never thought about the ground being weak on those older graves. I would never walk on one just out of respect. But good to remember.
That looks like so much fun Leo!! Certainly brings back memories of my camping days! WOW! The hotdogs looked yummy. The campground looks so beautiful. Since I haven't been to Buskirk, I am going to add it to my liftoff places to visit. Gosh. All you need is some fish to fry on that open fire with eggs and hot biscuits. Have you visited this cemetery before? Sometimes they begin to look all alike. Beautiful place Leo to rest in peace. Thank you for this delightful adventure.
Hey Leo Bsm is bronze star Meritorious service achievement in combat and I think fs1 is first class one I could wrong depending what branch of service that guy was in.
When you are taking pics for 'Find A Grave' do you take still photos of the headstones to send to them? And do you also send them the other info you find out about the deceased?
The metal headstone were made from zinc. "They were cheaper than stone and allowed people to show off a bit after they passed without breaking the bank." ...from Google. I've seen them alot on other videos.

Yes those guys saved the lives of many more so on air craft carriers when the aircraft came back damaged or on fire, they were the first to be on the deck waiting to make sure the pilots got out safe & out of danger, very special men & women & always said that unit was always unreconized for it"s service during war time,

Beautiful scenery and day. I like when you show the history and connection of these people. I imagine what their lies were like.

It's sad that such young men there committed suicide, leaving a wife and possibly children.

I think so, if we're thinking of the same video at the tunnel.
