Tangier has been the summer site of the Moroccan royal residence since 1962. An important port and trade centre, the city has excellent road and rail connections with Fès, Meknès, Rabat, and Casablanca, as well as an international airport and regular shipping services to Europe.
Tangier was an international city and it has never been colonised by France. Lots of European people lived there that's why you can find some spanish, frensh and also britain style in some ancient buildings.
Another nice video Matt Nice food nice weather and nice people what more can we wish for when on holiday. Till the next adventure stay safe and well. 🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️.
Tangier had international status, wasn't occupied by French, was governed under a complex system that involved various European nations, the United States, and the Sultan of Morocco kinda like Hong Kong ))
Well France also was a part of the so called international colonizers in Tangier. Anyway the guy is not historian and doesn't give a history of Tangier.
The juice guy was talking about the pipes next to him, it’s called sebsi and it’s used to smoke kiff wich is the local weed , he said you gonna get high after smoking it lol
Haha the juice seller was actually talking about "Sebsi" which are the long thing pipes. It is used in Morocco to smoke "Kief" , shredded selected canabis plant parts.. which why he talking about the High . Lol. Next time try "Baysar" or Bissara a soup made from beans or peas. Very nice. Also you should try the Bocadillo a staple Street food. Very nice video btw . Cheers
Thank you for this beautiful video of my city 😍😍 but you missed beautiful spot in Tanger : Cap Spartel, Hercules cave and Achakar beach (all in the same area)🥲
You’rr wrong my bro, the North region of Morocco was occupied by Spain not France. And about Tangier, it was an international city rules by many authorities.
In this Cafe was shot the film " Jason Bourne " Matt Damon and in the street behind the cafe .. In the Tangier there there first Ambassy of USA since the of 17th century , now is turned into museum , ..
Hey Matt. How are you? I have a question please. From Spain you took the ferry to Morocco? Is it easy or hard? As a solo traveller and a girl, I’m not sure how to plan, I don’t know what I will encounter. Do you have any tips?
When I was in Morocco, the passenger ferry between Spain and Morocco wasn't operating because of COVID. From what I've heard, the ferry is a fairly easy and seamless process. However, you can also usually find very cheap flights between the two countries.
@@mikiex hey. Can you keep me updated with what you need to go by ferry please? And after you get to Morocco, I assume you go to Tangier, where are you going next? I’m not sure how the local transportation works there, can you please give me some tips if you already know? Thank you so much
To any American citizen who will come to Tangier , he had to not miss the first Embassy of the United states and the oldest and not miss Perdecaris Palace . Perdicaris was the ambassador of USA in Morocco .in 1904 his wife was kidnapped by a rebel name Raysouni , and this fact caused the first mission of the US Marines out of America ,wich was in Morocco . This event was turned into a movie called "" the lion and the wind " by Sir Sean Connery as Rayssouni .
You do a huge disservice to your viewers as well as the country of Morocco. Morocco gained independence from France on March 2nd, 1956. Your overview of the city is maybe what a tourist might see on a 2 day trip and shows nothing of what Tangier really is.
Welcome to Tangier, Morocco, one of Morocco's many beautiful coastal cities! Let me know what you think of Tangier down below! 🇲🇦👇

I'm going there next week from Tarifa in Spain, look at the FRS ferry website. Don't forget your covid documents along with your passport.
