I really appreciate your videos are short and clear. I’m currently working on a pattern from Europe and their accompanying videos where unintelligible. Almost done my project thanks to your videos.
Hi 👋 Thank you so much for your helpful videos. Could you please explain something to me ?... If I was to SSSK but I take the stitches off my lefthand needle as if to purl, what would that be called? Even with a simple SSK some people insert the needle on the lefthand needle as if to purl and some people insert the stitches of the lefthand needle as if to knit? Sometimes patterns just tell you to SSK but they don't specify which way to insert the needle. ..... Thank you for your help 🙂 I've only been knitting 18 months. 🙂
Yes I agree Joanne. Your brief videos are the best and the simple instructions help us remember and follow them. I wish sometime in the future I would be able to be able to attend one of your in person classes. My special request whenever it's possible for you. Please instruct how a round, curvy front edging is done for ladies' front open cardigan. The front edges are usually at right angles . I would love to learn how to shape them curvy and round edges something similar to a shrug edging.
For curvy corners, begin with 4 or 5 stitches less and keep adding a stitch on every row until you have the measurement. It would look like an angle at first but when you add your edging, it curves.
Thank you so much Joanne. I understand perfectly. I wonder how it never occurred to me... that is where your expertise and mastery of knitting is and me, an amateur knitter. Thank you so much for your immediate reply. I've done a few sweaters following instructions from a book. That book is from the UK. Now my daughter gifted me an American edition book. It's titled, Knit to Flatter. So I have to get familiar with the terms which are slightly different. Otherwise I follow your videos for instructions. I'm not very fast in knitting but I love knitting and I hope I will improve my speed soon.
Very clear instructions! ❤
