Fantastic video. I've just sat in the CRJ following this step by step and it's an absolute delight to fly! Thank you so much for helping everyone with such a quick and concise tutorial.
Just purchased the CRJ and searching for tutorials. This is the first one I saw, and subscribed because of it. Thank you for keeping it simple and clear, and step by step. I'll be watching this while in the cockpit. Now on to your landing tutorial. Thank you.
Finally found a tutorial that is simple and straight to the point. Only criticism is this aircraft doesn’t have the labels when you hover the mouse over them like other aircraft. Taking some getting used to finding where each control is since I’ve spent so long flying the Boeing and Airbus aircraft
You don't need to turn on the DC service switch. That's a feature for service crew who may need to get basic systems online without having to perform the entire startup process. If you switch on the main battery system, that powers everything, and the DC switch doesn't do anything but make a click noise. It's like rolling all your windows down driving down the highway to get some air, and then turning your fan on 'LOW'.
Im new to msfs, I come from dcs which I still love. Tried lots of the aircrafts that came with msfs and some were good but just bought the crj and loving it, such a joy to fly and I love landing it.. Thanks for these vids
Just a tip, you forgot the nose wheel steering button. It make the CRJ even easier to steer. :). Amazing how well this aircraft handles on take off. Flying the default aircraft on take off and keeping them on the center line of runway is a nightmare. Makes you not want to ever go back to default craft.
Love your vids, very clear and easy to follow along. I just got the CRJ and with my minor case of dyslexia I just didn't get the whole written tutorial thing. I just kept wondering what to press and when. You remove all the guessing work and I just follow along. Thank you so much.
Still running into issues with this aircraft, god bless you for sticking with it. Spent 30 minutes setting up flight plan, struggling to get rid of a discontinuity and then the damned thing crashes to desktop. This aerosoft CRJ is definitely not for the faint of heart, thats for sure
I worked for there for about 12 years. I also worked on the CL215 Water Bomber. They sent me to their test facility in Mohave Desert twice, first time to replace bearings that were not staked or swaged within specs. The bearings on the wing links were swaged at 20 tons so that was fun doing that with the portable tools I was using. The second time was to work on the CL600 aircraft do the FFA certification.
@@Drawyah My ex took off with our 3 kids to a 5 hour drive and played games when I went to see the kids so I quit job plus the job at a bar and moved to Florida for 3 years and bounced/bartended and works on building houses during the week. Great video and thank you very much! I started with my own FP but followed along. Was in cruise, at FL340 and she kept ballooning, going down to FL320 then up to FL360....it seemed it was always looking for FL340....I tried touching the throttle, ever so slightly to adjust, but simply got tired of chasing the needle and shut the flight down. Absolutely agree with handling, the aircraft feels just right! By far the best right now in MSFS. I'll also be sure to activate nose steering.

use your trim button (that you probably have mapped on the stick), trim down or trim up and watch the number changed to your desired setting. :-)

Check your weight! If configured incorrectly you'll likely stall on climbout!

Fly climbing with speed, not VS. Check your flaps too.

I set the STAR for Bremen during the approach tutorial for the CRJ.

I didn't see at all how you adjust the take-off trim on the ecam. From the video perspective it just magically changes.
I'm using the trim binding on the keyboard which needs to be assigned.
How do you adjust the quick instrument views? Also can you no longer free look from a quick view?
Also is there a really big dead zone on the throttle? I have to push my thtustmaster throttle to almost 50% before it registers on the crj.
The quick view intruments I have set custom. You need to calibrate your throttles on the CRJ EFB.
@@Drawyah okay, thanks. I'll need to learn how to do custom cameras (I knew how to do in Xplane but MSFS still a mystery).
Good to know about the calibration on the EFB. I'll try that out after my A32NX flight from Brazzaville, Congo to Nairobi, Kenya.

Num 1 nose up
Num 7 nose down
