    Just purchased the CRJ and searching for tutorials. This is the first one I saw, and subscribed because of it. Thank you for keeping it simple and clear, and step by step. I'll be watching this while in the cockpit. Now on to your landing tutorial. Thank you.

    Finally found a tutorial that is simple and straight to the point. Only criticism is this aircraft doesn’t have the labels when you hover the mouse over them like other aircraft. Taking some getting used to finding where each control is since I’ve spent so long flying the Boeing and Airbus aircraft

    You don't need to turn on the DC service switch. That's a feature for service crew who may need to get basic systems online without having to perform the entire startup process. If you switch on the main battery system, that powers everything, and the DC switch doesn't do anything but make a click noise. It's like rolling all your windows down driving down the highway to get some air, and then turning your fan on 'LOW'.

    Just a tip, you forgot the nose wheel steering button. It make the CRJ even easier to steer. :). Amazing how well this aircraft handles on take off. Flying the default aircraft on take off and keeping them on the center line of runway is a nightmare.
    Makes you not want to ever go back to default craft.

    • @Drawyah
      @Drawyah  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely agree with handling, the aircraft feels just right! By far the best right now in MSFS. I'll also be sure to activate nose steering.

      I worked for there for about 12 years. I also worked on the CL215 Water Bomber. They sent me to their test facility in Mohave Desert twice, first time to replace bearings that were not staked or swaged within specs. The bearings on the wing links were swaged at 20 tons so that was fun doing that with the portable tools I was using. The second time was to work on the CL600 aircraft do the FFA certification.

      Yes, the functionality of the Aerosoft CRJ is rather fantastic!

    Thanks for this. One thing I couldn’t figure out is why my plane doesn’t follow my way
    points for IFR I did everything in the video but I still have to fly with heading select on to get it to turn where I want it

      Make sure that your navigation source is set to FMS1. This can be changed by a scroll wheel on the left-hand side.

    • @Drawyah

      Oh, right, yes. That does not work with this CRJ. You will need to program your flightplans manually as pilots would do in real life.

    Hey thanks for the video! Just have one quick question, if there any discontinuitys on the legs pages do we delete them? And one more question, when I takeoff and set the lnav it dosent follow the path, I’m %100 sure I did everything right I even loaded up the plane 3 different times and still didn’t want to follow it?Thanks!

    • @Drawyah
      @Drawyah  3 года назад +1

      You don't delete, rather copy and paste waypoints into these gaps. As for the first plan if the aircraft struggles to follow, Direct yourself to the next available waypoint.

    Hey mate, I’m following your tutorial exactly only I’m in cry 900 flying out from EDDF to EDDM,, when I get to the part that I have to click apu power switch, nothing happens not seeing apu inbite appear, on the right screen bottom left it says APU door and then 4 broken yellow lines, do u know why this is? Much appreciated thanks

    • @Drawyah
      @Drawyah  3 года назад

      That should be okay to start, Bite is only a startup motion, as soon as the door is open you can start APU.

    I know you mentioned that the speed management is much more manual. However i don't know why, but the "speed limiter" or what the button is called simply doesnt work for me. My plane is either accelerating way too much but if i reduce the speed and don't pay too much attention, the speed quickly drops below 160 knots. I don't know how to maintain a speed level yet.
    Otherwise your video really helped me a lot. Especially with starting up the APU :D

    • @Drawyah
      @Drawyah  3 года назад

      There is no speed limiter, the CRJ has no autothrust. When I that speed management is key, I'm referring to how you manually control your throttle speed.
