For me art-deco is the finest period of design. It made everything from architecture to toasters seem like they belong in a fairy-tale.

I have to believe this timepiece is worth much, much more than that.
nothing special about the movement. The prices start to really go thru the moon when you have multiple things like time, moon phase, more time zones and stuff like that.
True…I am certainly no expert, and I wouldn’t have the resources to even put a dent in that current value. I hope they wear it and keep it in good health!!
These comments always crack me up on AR. Old watches aren't generally worth more then new models. There just isn't as as great of a demand. The craftsmanship on watches has improved over time unlike furniture or clothes. As someone else said complications are worth more and this watch is simple. The condition is great for being that old but watch people are obsessed with condition. There isn't a lot of precious metals compared to todays Pateks and overall the people willing to spend on this is small relative to the number who want a newer patek.
Beautiful style. Whoever wins the battle will have a fine family heirloom.

Funny how "wow" is always the surprised response, though she did also say "awesome." This watch certainly is a vintage jewel.
And due to editing we can tell that it's in running condition. Those hands sure move fast when you're not looking lol.
