Perma-Cote's Liquid Tight Fittings are now supplied with a PVC Liquid Tight Transition Adapter making it the perfect solution for eliminating exposed threads and maintaining the environmental rating integrity of the installed system. PVC coated Liquid Tight Fittings are often connected directly to a conduit body to transition from liquid tight flexible metallic conduit (LFMC) to PVC coated galvanized rigid conduit. PVC Liquid Tight Transition Adapters are for use with conduit bodies to aid with this type of installation. Simply trim the sleeve away from the female end of the conduit body, apply PVC touchup compound (sold separately) to the interior of the transition gasket, and tighten the gasket onto the prepared conduit body. You can then attach the PVC-coated LT fitting and pull the transition gasket flush with the bottom of the fitting, completely sealing the system from corrosion.
