    Even Ricky can’t say that Usyk clearly won and uses the “open to interpretation” as to appease the Fury Family who like any tyrannical regime will not tolerate any criticism.

    • @hotrodd29
      @hotrodd29 Месяц назад +6

      No thats YOUR interpretation.
      Ricky said the best man won.
      I spoke to Ricky in Plymouth last month, and he told me he thought Usyk had a good chance of beating Fury.
      I scored the fight as Usyk wins by a single point. With the 9th round being the deciding factor.
      So if a judge had it for fury by a point then it was open to interpretation.
      There are fury haters that think
      Fury was obliterated and got destroyed. That’s clearly not the case

    There’s a lot of post fight advice as to what Fury should have done, but it doesn’t take account of how Usyk would have reacted. Ricky has a wealth of experience but if Fury had got on the front foot and committed himself with more power shots early on, he would likely have got punished on the counter. I think Fury had good reason to be cautious early on.

    • @Jimbo8012
      @Jimbo8012 Месяц назад +4

      Exactly. This is why Joshua tried to box Usyk. Joshua was scared of being countered into oblivion. Ruiz countered him in their 1st fight and we all know what happened there. If Ruiz could do it, Usyk certainly could. People say Joshua should go in all guns blazing against Usyk if there's a 3rd fight, but it's a massive risk. It might work out, but he could get knocked our fairly quickly. Joshua doesn't have the chin to do that and neither does Fury.
      Fury had the right strategy against Usyk using his reach and the uppercut. He's just under 6ft 8 and has an 85 inch reach so it makes sense to utilise these significant physical advantages. Fury just got tired and got caught. It was a very close fight apart from the 9th. One of course could argue that the fight should have been stopped in the 9th but it wasn't and so I thought Usyk won by 1 point on the scorecards.
      I think Usyk will win the 2nd fight, but it's entirely possible that Fury pulls it out of the bag and sets up a 3rd encounter.

      Fury should have taken this fight more seriously as he did with Wilder the wilder ones were fighting this one was boxing, and the next one, going to be a fight, did you see any rage on Fury's face? AJ the easier option for Fury. Easier to hit someone who doesn’t move.
    I thought the same during the fight. 6’9” and 20st and throwing these flicks. Starting a punch from down below the waist gave Usyk way too long to see them coming and move. Should have got his hands up and thrown straight hard punches.

    I've always like both fighters ...loved when fury cameback and dethroned wilder...and loved it when usyk dethroned joshua...so my honest opinion was usyk is alot better boxer than fury but fury had the size advantage and if fury couldn't tire usyk out using his size he would get outboxed...thats exactly what happens once usyk figured out how to avoid the uppercut and around the jab he pulled away from fury especially having that huge round in the 9th...the right man won that fight...great fight 1-3 usyk,4-7 tyson and then 8 started to sway toward usyk and 9-12 usyk so great fight..both guys fought there asses off

    Fury too often admired his shots. He needs to capitalise on them more. He needs to throw more shots overall early on. He can afford to since he’s got great stamina, better than the likes of AJ. So the fear of gassing out is very low. He needs to put a dent in him, to the extent where he can’t fight back as such.

    He’s good mates with Fury so he is bound to say open to interpretation, if you score the fight round by round Usyk won 7 (including 10/8 round) to Fury 5 , that is giving fury 100% benefit of the doubt in swing rounds.

    Fury did not outbox Usyk early on. He was sticking his arm out which is technically illegal, but either way it certainly isnt a jab or anything with any purpose that you give him rounds for. The clean work was coming from Usyk, The first 2 rounds were certainly Usyk's. 3rd is debatable. Fury then took the next 3 rounds. Fairly even halfway through. Usyk I thought won 7th but very close. Usyk then took over from 8th onwards and got knockdown.
    Fury had a really good few rounds up to end of 6th. It was a clear victory for Usyk. Fury did very well though to get close, but not close enough.

    Ricky's a great guy and has a record to be proud of. That said, we live in an era where we're somehow obligated to praise people for acknowledging that which can not be denied.
    Ricky is clearly torn and struggling to give an objective view of Tyson's performance in this fight. Tyson was clearly outsmarted by Usyk. Usyk forced Tyson from the first round and even when Tyson was coring well, which he did, it was largely because Usyk was controlling the action and forcing Tyson the fight. Usyk was the ring general.
    7-5 Usyk is closest Fury came in this match.

    "The eye of the Tiger" is a very old boxing saying!!! But in the Tyson Fury case it has never been truer!!! Tyson Fury had the "eye of the tiger " for 1, 2 & 3 D Wilder fights, then for D Whyte & D Chisore he didn't really need it to beat both off them, as he was the much superior boxer.
    Look at T Furys eyes & A Usyks eyes as the ref is talking to them b4 the fight starts round one. Usyk has " the eye of a tiger"! T Fury has lost it!!!!
    T Fury could have 10 rematchs but wouldnt win them, his time is over, hes done!!!
