    I know exactly where those tailings piles are sir, you've got a good eye. There are many more areas like that also, maybe I'll see you out there this spring. I've got a minelab equinox 800 and a high banker. Always fun to get out there in nature regardless of the gold found...

      Well It wasn't a tip cuz the gold in your video is better. Hehe. I just moved over here from the west side of the state where I knew it well. But out here in monument I'm on the edge of grant county and not really sure where to go that's absolutely public.
      But no, Don't go to monument for gold necessarily hehe

    What’s a good starter system to start with that don’t cost arm and leg?

    • @pnwprospecting
      @pnwprospecting  2 года назад +1

      For gold prospecting- a good pan that is comfortable to your hands, a short shovel and pry bar and a bucket. These are my main tools on the daily. Than get a gold cube so you can bring material home to run when you find gold.
      For detecting- I would say a Nokta/Makro simplex

      @@pnwprospecting when I get home what a good starter system so I can run water that I can dump scoops into and have water running

    • @pnwprospecting
      @pnwprospecting  2 года назад +1

      Gold cube would be the best investment! 3 stack is perfect if your doing river gravel 4 stack if there is a lot of black sand or beach mining.

    My partner and I have two mines in that area. If you want to know anything about mining in that area contact Jack Myers or the Bolin brothers in Baker. Jack has the site "Ham Homestead."

    Almost need a microscope to see those tiny specks of gold.

    • @pnwprospecting
      @pnwprospecting  7 месяцев назад

      Super fine stuff. That area was abandoned after the first pass with the dredge cause the gold wasn’t as good in that section compared to the upper valley where dredge 3 is! The best ground is under the town of Sumpter!

  • @robertsnyder5149
    @robertsnyder5149 2 года назад +1

    If you want big gold in that area you have to go for the bedrock.

    • @pnwprospecting
      @pnwprospecting  2 года назад

      Yeah I was trying to chase that bedrock shelf down but I have a feeling even the dredges didn’t hit bed rock. I wish I had more than a few hours at that location I would love to see what I could find deeper down! Thanks for watching!
